"I wanted to tell you about my bad experience at the Zia Regina Hotel in Hurghada. I went there on June 2nd, 2023 for 3 nights in room number 2203. Let me tell you about my experience. First of all, the hotel is not worth its stars because of the staff. We arrived with a group of 40 rooms at 10 am and they made us wait in a hall with only 20 chairs for everyone. After a while, one of the staff members started shouting at us not to ask him to check in before 2 pm, as if we were bothering him. The receptionists were also unfriendly. We waited until 2 pm to finally check in, but when we got to our room, there was no light, no air conditioning, and no phone. We had to call the staff three times to send someone to check the electricity. When the air conditioning finally started working, it was not cooling at all, and the technician told us it would be fine if we left it on. I went back to the reception to ask for a new room, and after a while, they gave me room 2203, which was close to the beach and the pool. However, the key card did not work, and we had to wait for the housekeeping staff to open it for us. When we asked them to bring our luggage from the first room, they said no one was available to do it. As for cleanliness, no one was cleaning the rooms or changing the towels during our stay. When we asked for new towels, they said okay but never brought them. The food was also terrible, with rice and beans or rice and peas served every day. The meat was just small pieces on top of vegetables. The bathrooms in the lobby were disgusting and always crowded, despite the hotel being full. The strange thing is that everyone there was unhappy and complaining, but the staff did not seem to care. When we checked out, one of the receptionists was chasing us to take the bracelets off our hands. In addition, there were cats walking around in the restaurant while we were eating, and the lobby lights were turned off at 10:30 pm or 11 pm. The bar had most of its lights turned off because the bulbs were overheating. We left our towels on the beach, but they were not there when we came back, and the safe in our room did not work. Overall, it was a very bad experience, and we will never stay there again."
