When I was a kid for some strange reason I'd sit down by my fav tree & repeat ,"What am I doing & why am I here?", over & over until it didn't make sense to me anymore & I actually forgot who I was for a very short period. I have no clue why I did that. Why would a child do that? What was the purpose? I don't know. It actually felt good to forget everything, even if it was for a very short time. I had no idea I was meditating. I didn't even know what meditation was back then, yet I did it often. I didn't focus on breathing though. I just sat still & repeated those two sentences until they lost all meaning.

I used to do something similar. Idk why but for some reason I’d always get lost in staring at this Jesus statue my grandma and and repeat in my head “nothing is real, nothing is real” until literally nothing felt real at all. It was very trippy I’m not sure why I did that either but I did it often.

Thoughts are just thoughts, they’re not yours. They just arise as energy in the body. Your body is just sensations. Your body feels uncomfortable sensations that arise which produces feelings and emotions attached. Learn to observe this. You fear a situation only because it’s going to FEEL uncomfortable or your worried how IT WILL FEEL! Think if every situation that you label is bad, why is it bad because you were going to feel a certain way that’s why and there’s no other explanation other than things makes you feel a certain way, but you label good or you label bad and that’s it but in reality there just is that is all there is is just now. There is no good there is nobody there. It’s just happening but your mind labels things as good and bad scary or not happy sad but there’s just sensation there’s just happening once you realize this you are some free.

That's because you have convinced yourself that they won't be around to guide you after death. Their love goes nowhere, listen to your gut and you will find the guidance of your ancestors. The ideas you have and the decisions you make while you are totally in the present moment are the gut feelings that I am talking about.
@christiansaravia78653 жыл бұрын
I feel the same way but I’ve learned over time and through personal experiences that death is a part of life and it’s not necessarily the antagonist that we all make it out to be. They work together. It’s a symbiotic relationship. Life needs death and death needs life. I don’t think death is a true end either it’s just the end of this world but I believe there’s something much bigger, our human brains just can’t comprehend it yet

Hey guys. A couple years ago I discovered another ego death meditation because of this video. The video featured the earth, a tiny black ball moving across the face of the sun. The video creator went into detail about the reality of our trivial problems and how they mean nothing. I’ve been working so hard to find that video again but I just cannot find it. It was such a great video, if anyone can offer any help I’d appreciate it.

Just let go your fears. I had crazy ego death experiences on shrooms. Just accept how things are and don’t worry about the future. If you think a lot of the past you will experience depression, worry about the future and anxiety will kick in. Just vibe and enjoy the moment

If you're still struggling with this (or someone else is); things that can help: Direct your focus to breathing out when this occurs, so your body/ brain/ soul understands it should let go. Don't "push" the air out of your lungs, but let it out by itself. You can achieve the same effect by (softly!) directing your focus to your hands/feet and just relax them. Just do nothing while "looking" at it and it will vanish by itself. What can help as well is imagining a falling feather, a lowering tone, a light that's getting dimmed. Basically everything that's easy for you to imagine and a form of passivity and letting go (not pushing it away!) Do whatever feels the easiest and most comfortable for you. Hope everyone reading is having an easy time and if you don't, I'm sure it will get better soon. I believe in you. Have a wonderful life.

I've been struggling a lot with accepting emotions and the unknown after coming off antidepressants and have been very stubborn. But if you get sick enough of stressing yourself out over things that never seem to change no matter what you hope for, you'll be more open minded and this stuff will seem much more welcoming.
