That is how ALL decks are. Just easier to hear with a quiet mower. Completely normal.

Floating decks are pretty much standard on riding mowers for the reason you explain. To protect the blades by making the deck following the contours of the terrain. Some rattling is pretty much unavoidable unless you have a totally flat lot.

As SHOCKED as I'm to admit it, but I would actually consider one these cordless mowers or whatever we're calling them 😆. My lawn is too rough right now, and it'll take a couple of seasons before I get everything flat. But at that point I 'might' consider one of these.

So I just traded my Z6 Zero Turn for a T6. The mower is great for what I need however there is a lot of “play” in the steering wheel making an awful clacking noise. I was wondering if it was assembled incorrectly or missing a bushing or something. Also, I can slightly “lift up” on the steering wheel and hear the same metal clanking noise. All bolts appear to be tightened. Does your mower make this noise and can also feel it in the steering, especially on bumpy lawns. And before anyone asks, it’s not the deck that has its own acceptable noises. Any feedback would be appreciated!

I would contact Ego and put in a ticket and have them come check it. If it is new, then I would bring that back to where you got it, it clearly is not working right.

How fast can it go. I am starting a lawn care business but my zero turn just stopped working and we can’t seem to get it working so I am looking for a new mower and with it being that quite and looks pretty nice

It would be great with their LFP batteries, not sure about the lithium ion battery, life it's only about 500 cycles vs 2000 for the LFP.

I'm kinda thinking that the deck on a gas tractor makes just as much noise, if not more, than the Ego. The difference is that with a gas tractor, THE TRACTOR IS SO F%CKING LOUD THAT YOU CAN'T HEAR THE DECK AT ALL!!! I'm still a little astounded that dude here is driving a TRACTOR... and you can't hear anything. 😂🤣😂

How come all the reviews of this tractor are by guys who grass is so short it should be a golf course and hence doesn't need cut. How well does it cut 4-6" high tall fescue the world wants to know?

Exactly! With a gas mower, the engine noise and your earplugs drown out the rattling the deck is making. This thing is so quiet, the deck noise is amplified. Wear some earplugs if it bothers you, and you'll be fine.
