This is little more than stock footage with someone reading (and sometimes mis-reading, such as saying "18" of snow") quotes from each blower's marketing materials. Not quite "useless", but definitely a waste of eight minutes if you've already looked at the marketing materials.

More like an advertisement to me than a review, maybe I'm the only one? If priced similarly and with my 100 ft driveway, I would go with the Toro.

Have you noticed if the scraper bar on the EGO is slightly bent - either bending downwards or upwards? Mine has a slight bend upwards. Is this common? Thanks!

Major concern if repairs or parts (d,i,y) are needed how close are repair centers and parts?

For the most part, there are few parts that should be diy replaced here (this isn't small engine repair). Shear pins (Ego), tires, scrapers, etc, are all easily ordered from Ego directly or bought at your local Lowes or Ace. I believe Toro prefers Home Depot to Lowes, but the same thing there. For more significant repairs, all the major battery tool companies have qualified repair sites all over the place. I'm in central PA, far from any major city, and have one service center for my lawn tools (Greenworks is the brand I'm using, but similar story with Ego or especially Toro) literally less than a ten minute drive from me, and another about fifteen minutes away and one little town over.

People just need to realize that the batteries are expensive and to take that into consideration. We have incredible technology in better batteries we are just not allowed to use it. Maybe in a couple of years they will release it, we have bad people in the wrong places that need to go first.

I bought the ego blower last year and it worked like a champ. Last spring while knocking down a 5 ft drift the little plastic shovel/scraper got knocked off the top and went into the blades. It has been in the shop waiting for parts to show up for over 5 months. Go for the Toro!!

Reviews never consider after sales support. Toro has a robust dealer network. Good luck contacting Ego or Greenworks

This could happen to any snowblower....gas or electric. Usually the shear pins break and you just replace them.

@@TheDeal4412 I initially thought it would be shear pins but it took out the transmission. Fortunately the fixed it under warranty but the winter was over before I got it back
