This song is one of those songs that never ages. I swear man. I guess because there is so much going on in it. And to think I was only 7 or 8 when it dropped. Daaaaaammmmmnnnnn...that blows my mind now when I think about it. And I still rock this 😄😄. Even be having my 12 yr old daughter saying Egypt Egypt. Congratulations! 🥳🥳👏🏾👏🏾🤛🏾

I went straight to the record shop & got my 12inch LP copy as soon as it became available. & continued to purchase everything you dropped after that. Had to have it. It was like a drug to me! 👍👍👍100!! You may not remember but I sent a letter to your fan club & you responded by sending me a 12inch LP copy of DANCE which I will always be thankful for. I remember I couldn't wait to show all my buddies @ the time, that I received it directly from you & bragging & showing it off. LOL!! It was like receiving a letter from the President. 🤩👍 💯

I have some Egyptian Lover LP's, maxi singles and remixes (on wax) sent to me back in the day from a dude who worked at Egyptian Empire: One Track Mind, DSL's instrumental. I always thought this tune came out in 83, I must be getting old lol. Congratulations Mr. Broussard for an amazing tune! We used to do the 'King Tut' style to this music. The DJs used to mix this with 'Tour de France' for a bad ass break beat blend.
