Why would your government try to infringe on our sovereignty by trying to grab a piece of our land and sea. You’re doing this because of what has happened to our country in the past two decades; otherwise you would never have contemplated to even consider going after Somalia. However, you need to understand we’re getting stronger economically and militarily and within the next few years, you will see us confront all bullies. In addition, the strong Somali diaspora in the western world will transform the world’s public opinion thus paving the way for stronger Somalia to thrive in the near future. If you really are a friend and a good neighbor that wants to have good relationships with their neighbors, why wouldn’t you respect our country’s territorial integrity?

Ethiopia is not hostile to Somalia, but Somalia has this false narrative. Somalia and Egypt want Ethiopia not to succeed, and Somalia wants Ethiopia not to have access to the sea, and Egypt thinks if Ethiopia is doing well, it is not good. So these two countries are acting out of envy, selfishness and greed. But Ethiopia is on its way to retaining its jobs and becoming a production centre of the African continent, and despite everything that has happened to us, we are marching forward. If Ethiopia wants to starve the two countries to show them that it can answer their hate with hate, all it has to do is to close Shebelle and Aby Nile. Therefore, it is better to live in peace with Ethiopia than this unacceptable behaviour.
