Tonight Jaime and I celebrate our wedding anniversary by cracking EH Taylor Barrel Proof. We have never tasted this incredibly difficult to find and rare bottle, but in this video we finally got too. We ended up pulling down a Stagg Jr Batch 16 and a Four Gate Bluegrass Trilogy II.

Happy Anniversary!! Got to have a great whiskey flight at a bar in Portland, ME. Rare Breed Bourbon 1st, EH Taylor Barrel Proof 2nd, Michters Barrel Proof Rye 3rd, Knob Creek Twice Barreled Rye 4th. Made me purchase Rare Breed finally. And great example of one to try first rather than paying secondary cost.

I have these bottles and took the taste test with you both. I don't get the note that you're getting. My palate isn't as sophisticated as yours. I'm tasting maple and honey and nutty notes. I'm not that great at finding all the floral or fruits of a bottle but......I like them both. Oh well, I tried!!! Nice tasting with you two!!!

Happy anniversary from Texas! Transplanted native Virginians who lived 7 years in Fred Va before moving to Tejas. Congrats on your anniversary, we celebrated our 43 rd in July and look forward to y’all getting there too! I had to wait 13 hours to get one at retail in Ohio and that was for Batch 11! I have since acquired Batch 9 and Batch 10. They are the most delicious bourbon I've ever had. They out pace BTAC imo. If you can find this bottle buy it now!

I walked into a random liquor store and found it for $78, I kept thinking someone would runout and tell me they made a mistake and want it back! where I live the Taylor is $600 and the Stagg is $350 so I would never get to try them.

To my understanding stagg and stagg jr releases once a year. Not easy to get anywhere if you’re not at the store the day the shipment arrives. I’m looking forward to catching one next February or March according to the staff at my local liquor store

I saw EH Taylor Barrel Proof in store, unsure the price ... was behind counter and couldn't read the tag. They had multiple bottles of Weller 12 for $4000 though, so probably not a good price XD

EH Taylor is fantastically overrated. Tried it, was not impressed at all; seriously, asked what the hell all the hype was about. Would only buy it for MSRP just for display.

Couldn't agree more, the only thing BT puts out that isn't overrated is Stagg jr. EH Taylor at MSRP is an every day pour.

I will say it seems these vary a lot batch to batch. I recently opened my batch 10 (127.3 proof) and it was a total sugar bomb and an easier barrel proof sipper. The batch 9 I tried last year was a completely different experience and not near as enjoyable.

Love you, love her, love y’all…But y’all (together) shouldn’t review bourbon. You can speak it and can taste/smell it. She likes and can talk about Irish Cream. Fair! That’s good stuff. Let her do her thing that she’s great at. I love her channel without you! But she can’t speak to bourbon AT ALL. And she speaks over you right when you’re making a point (when it’s clear where you are going). We lose your message! Cute couple and her channel deserves followers. But I know a few folks bout to leave this one if it doesn’t make sense to follow/learn. Nothing offensive about staying in one’s lane.

Whaaaat I completely disagree. The mix of just him and sometimes both of them is best 💯. She obviously enjoys the whiskey and brings a different (and necessary) perspective. Their on screen chemistry is positive and enjoyable. I watched and didn’t catch any ideas or points he was trying to make that she stopped from happening. I can see you tried wording it nicely, but did you really need to voice this negative opinion? I hope they keep producing content how they want to and I’ll be here to watch. Thanks for what you guys do, and HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

You’re entitled to your opinion, thank you for your honesty. This is the reason we have a separate channel, which we can review and have fun on.
