@bullettomy7thheart and @elginsweeperfan it is legal. The handpass rule is only if another one of your teammates were to touch the puck after you used your hand, outside the defensive zone of course, and considering he didnt throw it but merely moved it, as a ref and a player, it should not be called a handpass. Just an FYI. Something sweet to try in practice or a game gone gongshow.

This move was original, and is therefore better IMO. You can find a video of everyone and their grandma doing the through the legs lacrosse move.

@mfrogue13 Yes, he was in a butterfly but he was also way to deep in the net. He should've been at least by the top of the crease, but instead he was all the way in the paint.

it's called the butterfly, and it's exactly what the goalie was supposed to do. The puck got a lucky bounce over his stick, not to blast Ehn's shot, it was beautiful, but 9 out of 10 times that's going to get stopped. he got lucky

i dont think ppl realize during the shootout for the skills comp the goalies arent meant to try very hard. the goals are supposed to go in and look pretty

@mfrogue13 it's kinda on the goalie. he was in a little too deep.

The goalie wasn't too deep in the net...when someone's coming at you with speed, you have to be deep in the net unless you want him to have an easy deke around you.

everybody shut the hell up about how the goalie was deep in the net and about how its not legal cuz it was a great move and that was the whole point of the competition

That was awesome, but the goalie did have him beat. Ehn got lucky on that one, it hit the goalie's stick but bounced over his left pad...could have just as easily gone the other way...not flaming him, it would have confused the hell out of me, lol...

That must be one of the worst ways to make a penalty shot. Not a big chance to go in but it looks pretty sweet when it does.
