Your music is beautiful. I like how it's dramatic and casual at the same time and varied. I was curious about that Pittsburgh one-octave control surface. Is it fun, do you love it/use it a lot?

Sounds great! Are you using circuit for any drums, or are they coming all from Digitakt?

Cool! I'll check it! I'm beginning in live music, my setup had too many things (most of it old machines), and got complicated to get a good sound and operate so many machines. So i decided to sell almost anything, and bought the Toraiz SP-16 and the AS-1... and maybe i'll get some elektron... which brings me here haha... By the way, I did not receive these new guys yet, but my first option was to buy the SP16 and a Novation Circuit, but at the last minute i decided by the AS-1... was it a good trade? What can you tell me bout the Circuit? Thank you again bro! Greetings from Brazil!!

Yay, new stuff! Very cool. Will these be going up on bandcamp? Did you find inspiration for a composition video? ;)
@EhsanGelsi6 жыл бұрын
Yeah! Thanks for the support! I will record these and get them up - I'm actually a whole set behind on the recording and bandcamping - I gotta get myself sorted and back onto the recording! Hopefully over the next month or so :) And YES - the whole time while punching up these tunes I was hoping I'd hit my stride and do a composition video but it all felt like a battle to the death with the music so I didn't do it - but I will I promise! Perhaps that's what would make good viewing anyway, but I was hoping I'd make a vid and the music would just fall out. Y'all don't wanna see me in the gravelly depths fighting to the death with the creative process surely! It needs to look glamorous and easy, right? :p

Ha, yeah I'm sure it's anything but glamorous :). The jams always look really well crafted. Do you do several 'rehearsals'? Regarding a composition video, I 'm really interested in your process, however maybe you could retrace how a couple of your existing track evolved into the way they ended up? I could think of a few tracks on the 35 Winters album I'd be keen to have insight on! :)

Ha, I see the 'rehearsal' question was asked and answered further down. Cheers.

Amazing and inspiring as always! One question tho: How many times you play everything through before recording video? Because rate you do new videos is unreal! :D
@EhsanGelsi6 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate! A good question! It depends on how I'm feeling and how it's flowing I guess - sometimes twice, sometimes five or so times. In the case of this one I only played it through a couple of times fully - just tested a few bits of it - this batch were a but tougher to squeeze out and was trying to keep them fairly light. Could have prob practiced them some more tho! It's a constant battle ha! :D

Ha - I know what you mean! It always feels like the best take was the one that I just did before I hit record and start making ALL THESE MISTAKES!! Ha!
