Have to say the downfall of the empire started right away after prince mustafas murder. Id even understand why they call him sultan suleiman the magnificent whereas there was nothing good about him because it was all his fault. If Mustafa or Beyazid would have been the next sultan after suleiman, today the empire might have survived because the next generations would have had stronger, honest bloodline unlike selim who was a drunkard.
