After many months of work, we are so excited to present Eichler Palms! A 5 bedroom, 3 bath home with 2,500 sf, an oversized saltwater pool & spa, and amazing mountain views in sunny Palm Springs, CA! We worked with Sheilds Resdential to re-build an original plan from Eichler Homes in the 1950's by architects Ansen & Allen. Mid century modern new construction, thanks to development from Kud Properties. We teamed up with MN brands Room & Board, Dutton Brown Design lighting, Mercury Mosaic Tile, Hygge & West wallpaper, and others Flor Carpet Tiles and Hunter Douglas blinds! We want others to enjoy this architectural beauty so it will also be available for vacation rental!

I love eichlers and this one has a great floor plan. The only thing I’m not crazy about is having those white ceiling vents. It ruins the lovely tongue and groove ceiling which is such a stand out feature of eichlers.

Those are Mitsubishi mini split cassette heat pumps. Super efficient, but it is either that or the ugly models stuck on the walls. I think that in the 1950's had this technology existed the architects probably would have utilized them. Also remember that in the 1950's a lot of these modern post and beam homes did not have air conditioning as they were used mostly during the winter months and left empty over the hot summer. In those days, Palm Springs pretty much closed down and rolled up the sidewalks during summers.

Yes, it's new construction based off of mid-century Eichler atrium homes, but with up to date specs. They've made a handful so far and sell for around 1.5 million.

This is a $2M house. Eichler was about bringing modern to the masses, not to the rich. Where's the affordability?

@@warpnin3 They've already done that. Look up "Desert Eichlers" and "Palm Springs Eichlers". Still not affordable to average people because of the expensive land they're built on.

@@joevarga5982 you have valid concerns. Eichlers and many other developers were affordable in the 50s and 60s. The current home builders nixed affordability for profitability a long time ago. And while there is large swaths of vacant land in further outer reaches of major cities, you'll still end up in the same situation of "affordability" in the next 5 to 10 yrs from now. The cycle continues.
