that is what supposed to be. not strict parents but build a healthy relationship with kids. Let them try new things, eat new foods, travelling, not punish them for everything or banning them from going out. but take them out with you to fun stuff and then you can teach about islam with kind and patience. you cant be haram policing. it is not help. let them to make mistakes so they can learn from it and Allah is merciful. so they can grow up to have a healthy, happy and strong relationship with Allah and the family.

Zainab Mohamed yes, strict parents ain’t it cause kids will end up doing things behind their backs, do haram stuff and they may even hating Islam just because of their parents are HELLA strict, toxic and abusive. I know some who are ALWAYS home, even in summers and aren’t allowed to go out to meet their friends outside school or anything. They never celebrate EID like this, never have healthy relationship with their parents because of haram policing behaviour which can be toxic and tiring. They feel so depressed so they ended up meeting wrong people and so they do haram stuff like alcohol, zina and partying so they feel like they fit in.

Monsterrr19 wallahi igy subhanallah this is why in the future inshallah imma raise my kids in a way tha I allow them to b close to me nd Allah at the sme time whilst balancing it out , cuh when you don’t have tha close relationship w your mum that’s when things start to go left.
