Oh how I wish I lived in Plano so I could see him every week!

For a long time, I couldn’t understand the story of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and Ismail (AS). Then, unfortunately, my daughter (5 years old at the time) had an epileptic seizure. We were both in the hospital for a few days, and I had a lot of fear regarding her health and how the future would be. Coincidentally, I came across the story of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and Ismail (AS). I thought to myself: “He trusted Allah so much with regard to his child, and I can not trust Him even this little?”. At this moment, everything that I didn’t understand before made so much sense to me. This is all about trust and obedience… And since then, I have loved saying this part of the morning dua: “…wa ‘ala millati abeena Ibrahim haneefan wamaa kaana minal mushikeen”

I m a person with disabilities. I cannot stand properly and cannot walk without a walking cane or a walker. I always thought, if I ever meet Shaykh Yasir Qadhi, I will shake his hand and will ask him for a hug. Alhamdulillah, I was so blessed that I attended 2 fundraising programs in Toronto and listened to his messages just a few months ago. But unfortunately, in both programs, he walked out of the hall so fast, right after his lectures, and went straight to the car park and left the area! May be that is his technique to avoid crowds in any program. But I still tried. I literally ran on my broken knees using my walking cane, and tried to catch him at the parking lot. But I didn't make it!! I couldn't even see his car. He left the area before I even arrived at the parking lot. My health has been deteriorating every moment. Don't know whether I will ever get another chance again to meet Shaykh Yasir Qadhi in this duniyah!
