A few months ago we said that we wanted to do what we can to help local businesses on the island of Siargao. And we feel that Binggo Ride our Tuk Tuk rental company deserves a VERY special mention.
For us, a vehicle is a very important part of our story. We see them as memory makers. They drive us to new lands, they help us see things that we'd otherwise miss. So when we first started looking for a island vehicle, the idea of a self drive Tuk Tuk stood out more than anything else.
When things got crazy due to the pandemic, Binggo Ride really showed us how much they cared for us and made our quarantine experience a much more comfortable event.
Now it's our turn to return the favour and help them to ride out this difficult time in the world, by telling you guys that they are still here, still powering through and trying to keep the business alive in more ways than one.
You can now take a Tuk Tuk unit for a whole month at a price of 15,000 Pesos. That's a massive discount from the standard rate and when you break it down, it's cheaper than some motorbike rentals on the island but can seat 4 people comfortably. Split the price with lockdown friends perhaps?
Also they are taking the mystery out of Philippines internet data top up with their E-Loading website smartbinggo.com
Trust us when we say that data load promos in the Philippines are some of the most confusing we've ever come across. But these data packets can be loaded straight from their new site onto your phone using your international debit/credit cards or even Paypal. Worth a look guys.
Finally they are now offering a local courier service to the LBC post office in Dapa. They can pick up your packages for you and deliver to your address so you don't have to go up there and stand in large queues. Just send them a message via phone or social media to arrange it. Links and Info below

This is the start of our story. Our 'New Normal' and new future. We are moving to the Philippines for a new start and this is day 12 of our Philippines Daily Vlog which will document what life is like for a British Family trying to work out life in this very exotic and beautiful country.
Our names are Jmayel, Sacha & Story. We traveled to Siargao island with Jmayel's mum & Story's grandma just before the Global pandemic that sent the whole planet into quarantine. We got stranded for over 3 months and fell in love with island life, now we want to make that life more permanent.

I miss this kind of interactions no hesitations, no worries just pure and genuine affection with each other. You guys are so lucky to be in a place where you could still do this. I didn't thought I would miss it cause I am an introvert person but being in a place like Manila where we have to be cautious to all the interactions we do, it gets to you, it has been months and I miss just hanging out with my close friends. That tuktuk has become iconic you should give it a name (make a whole episode about it). But what makes it really special is you guys... Siargao's tuktuk is also present in most places in the Philippines. It's sold by a certain company. These little vehicles are truly versatile --- even here in Bukidnon where roads are mostly uphills and downhills. Thanks for supporting our local businesses guys. 👍😄💪❤

I would like to own one tuktuk 😊. I love this family. They are just one regular family living a simple and happy life in the island. One thing I love most from them that keep me on watching their daily vlogs is that they don't exaggerate their reactions on things about filipinos unlike some other foreign vloggers here in the philippines whose some of reactions on anything about filipino are unreal and an exaggeration.

The more I watched you, guys, drive around Siargao in your Tuktuk, the more I loved the idea of using it for transportation, especially in small barrios in the Philippines. It looks far more convenient than a tricycle. Actually, it even reminds me of the small shuttle trams in festivals and entertainment parks here in the US. I bet its gas mileage consumption is superbly economical as well. Maybe when you're all settled-in at your new place, a tuktuk would make a perfect back-up for a car, depending on where you're going.

I think 15k is a reasonable price. That's P500 a day . Usually, a tricycle driver earns more than that. So yeah, that's a fair price me. Great Vlog as always!
