We made this video to illustrate how amazing the Filipino welcome has been for us, a British family trying to make the Philippines home for the last 90 days on Siargao Island.
We are so grateful to the people of this country for making us part of the family and showing us how good a nation can really be. We've never experienced anything like it.
This is a 90 day highlight reel of all the great things we've experienced since making the choice to remain on this paradise island of Siargao. The Hawaii of the Philippines.
We are so grateful and happy that we decided to make this island home.
This is the end of our 3 month story. Our 'New Normal' and new future. We moved to the Philippines for a new start and this is day 90 of our Philippines Daily Vlog which we started to document what life would be like for a British Family trying to work out life in this very exotic and beautiful country.
Our names are Jmayel, Sacha & Story. We traveled to Siargao island with Jmayel's mum & Story's grandma just before the Global pandemic that sent the whole planet into quarantine. We now been living in Siargao for over 7 months and fell in love with island life, now we want to make that life more permanent.

I have lived in the Phillipenes for a few years and YEARN to return, I have made many trips there since leaving. Watching your videos makes me soooo home sick, My wife is Filipina and my daughter half, I plan on retiring there when the time comes. I almost hate to watch your videos because they make me so miss being there, so much. I might even move to Siargao when I do eventually move there even though my wifes family is from Cebu... Great job guys keep up the good work!!!

I would intermittently watch your videos in the middle of a procedure like I was not in the theatre at all. Leaving my son and wife takes a toll on my focus and envy seeing you guys close to each other day in day out. But watching your videos does entertain me and patches those tiny holes in my heart. I am so glad you have found a wonderful place for your family. I have been following your vlogs this year. And it has become part of my morning routine. I grew up in Metro Manila back in the 60's and know the culture well. Being hospitable and friendly to visitors is part of the DNA of the Filipino people. I sometimes wonder why this is so? I came up with my own theory...I think people are so hospitable because they realize that you came from so far away that the least thing we could do is to be nice and show you a good time. Give yourself credit for being nice people as well. You make it easy for us to be nice to you.

The title of this blog made me feel missing you but I didn’t know you are still there until I finished watching then I felt relieved and excited and happy! I’m watching from California but from Surigao!!’ Thank you so much for being our number one tourist of our tourises!!! When things come to normal and tourism opens, I hope you consider adventuring within the Philippines before anywhere else. The first video I have watched was when you went around the area after typhoon Odette struck Siargao. I was so touched the way you have reacted. You were so genuinely concern about the people there. First, I want to thank you for making this pandemic journey bearable through your vlogs. Me and my family were in Palawan last February 2020 and our next plan was to visit Siargao and then we had the lockdown. But you guys brought Siargao right into my bedroom.
