When applying for these loans, they ask for 3-6months of revenue and bank statements of business cash flow. Plus, they still run your personal credit. Many of us are looking for loan companies that's strictly for startups that'll approve us for funds to get the business started.. This is so frustrating

Hi Lila, I know it is frustrating. Unfortunately, 99% of loan companies will be like that. They wanna make sure they will be repaid from the revenues of the business assuming that you’re profitable. The only other option is the SBA. But to get a loan for a start up with the SBA, The burden of paperwork it’s just too much for a lot of small businesses. For instance SBA wants business plans, resumes from management team, pro forma financials, etc. Once your revenue hit $300,000 per year things get a little easier.

Hi Rich, yes, it is possible but unless the business is profitable it will be very hard. Only the SBA can offer loans to true startups with no income.

Yes, same principles. However, with real estate, loan to value and debt service coverage ratio becoming more important.

Hey Julio, thank you so much for watching my video. In regards to your question, the same rules apply with it off-line or online. Question becomes is does the business have enough revenue to pay back the principal and interest on the loan you get which means you’re gonna have to have some traction of revenue. My advice to any start up is try to bootstrap it as much as you can do you can get as much as revenue as possible to show it is possible for business to sustain itself.

Hi Ebony, this question comes up a lot. From a lender's perspective, a business needs to have enough revenue to pay back the principal and interest on the loan you get which means you’re gonna have to have some traction of revenue. Not sure where you are in terms of revenue but my advice to any start up is try to bootstrap it as much as you can do you can get as much as revenue as possible to show it is possible for business to sustain itself. Hi Mike, Yes and Yes. SBA has a lot more hoops to jump through, like for instance, a business plan, projected financials, etc -- it really depends on the amount you want to borrow. Bottom line, the lower the rate, the more requirements. There are some options I did not cover in the video. Bring this up on the group and I will share another avenue through CDCs. (Community Development Corps)

I'm in the process right now and it honestly is very difficult. We are building a building and pretty much have to get all plans and purchases marked off before we can do anything and then prove exactly what we purchase.

This site sucks I have a 740 credit score and turned down also Leo’s site You need to be making a minimum of $200,000 a year so it is not for start up businesses. Both bad options.
