As Mileva became more well-known, Einstein's circle panicked and are trying to belittle Mileva in her research. The crucial point to be noted here is that rather than Einstein being a bad husband and a man, it is possible that Mileva, not Einstein, made the discovery that changed the history of physics. To ignore this point these days and present his as a bad husband and a man rather than someone who stole Mileva's work is to distort the point. We often see people reading Mileva and Einstein's letters these days, but I think what they're doing is just trying to hide the truth. Maybe, Einstein's insistence on divorce is to prevent Mileva from receiving any honors in his soon-to-be Nobel Prize and erase her name from history. and it looks like he's done it for more than 80 years. but the truth has a habit of coming out sooner or later.

When his wife Elsa became ill, instead of comforting her, Einstein basically retreated to intense study in order to distract from her mortality. I wouldn't say cruel, just honest. He eventually did give her the Nobel Prize earnings which she bought the apartment with. He practically accused her of not taking enough risk but he couldn't say it to her in such a way. She always kept her head down worried about other people and Einstein, he just wanted to go on adventures, discover things, and conquer life. They were both brilliant, so they settled for a contract. Smart people are best paired with people who are slightly dumber than they are in relationships or it often doesn't work out.

Seemed like she struggled with his lifestyle, they met before he became famous but then she got pregnant after they left university but perhaps they were too young to understand what starting a family really meant especially so in the times they lived in when men were the breadwinners and that they were frequently away from home even if they werent famous. She had no problem with his money though lol. Maybe she did want more out of life and didn't really want to be stuck left at home with kids because she was studying mathematics and really smart but she was now clearly stuck as the housewife, perhaps she feels Einsine owes her since she clearly gave that up to look after the kids but it's complicated too cos back then women were rarely recognized still and still the men made the money, but at the same time i don't think she wanted to be a famous scientist either.

I saw in a previous vid that she tried two times to pass and get a degree but she couldn't attend classes bec of Einstein. Einstein on the other hand had his classmate to help him out and passed. And since they're already separated she needed money to take care of herself n children since she is raising the kids alone n nor had a degree. Even if she enjoys/doesn't enjoy money it is visible that there was no other option for her at that point.

Thanks for sharing this, Toby. I was not very familiar with Albert Einstein’s personal life and I couldn’t agree more with your assessment that people should place ideas in high regard rather than trying to justify idolizing a specific person with all the complications that brings. Nobody’s life is perfect and although it is important to use that a way to keep us grounded in reality, there is no reason to try to fit the entirety of a person’s messy life onto a pedestal that should be reserved for the pure value or concept itself.

I don't know that we have her personal papers and the like, besides I don't belive @UC52kszkc08-acFOuogFl5jw will have any interest in trowing shadows on any female scientist. Einstein was complicated, and an absolute prodigy, so we know a lot about him.

Even as a remarkable theoretical physicist we tend to forget he is a human being. We make mistakes too, so before anyone thinks lowly of him realize how this can inspire you to pursue knowledge, and that regardless of your past mistakes you too can accomplish remarkable achievements. Hold on to your passion, pursue it, do not doubt your capabilities, and most of all never say you aren't smart enough. Massive thanks to Tibees for such amazing facts.

There has been a debate about Mileva's contribution in some of key Scientific discoveries of Einstein... Einstein's letter to Mileva offering Nobel is perhaps a strong evidence... In Einstein's own words: "I need my wife as she solves all the mathematical problems for me"...

This video gave us great insight into the social mind of Einstein, not much different than many famous people in Hollywood and elsewhere, all human beings with respective frailties. I''m sure that similar papers are possibly available for many other genius types who have so "impressed us" over the years. Thank you for the video.

The last part of the video is what people need to understand, you have a good intellect and we meed more people like you . Really love your work. I never comment or like any videos as i feel most of them dont think things through ,rather just say it bcz they feel its sounds intellectual or nice , they are unknowingly being kind of hypocrite , good to know some people are way above all this.
