The description underneath the video title says “RIP Alex,” so at first I thought that maybe the lady above had passed. I did some research and learned that Einstein lives at the Knoxville Zoo. One of his trainers is the woman in this video, Stephanie White. As for Alex? It would seem to be a reference to a brilliant African grey parrot who passed away in 2007.

My African Gray passed away and broke my heart. Mine was so intelligent too and shocked me how he picked up words from me which I didn't teach him to say truly amazing. Mine had a very large vocabulary and would say "good morning" every day when I woke up. I had two cats too but he was boss and would stand guard on top of his perch on look out for the cats which he would attack as soon as he saw them. I've never seen such an intelligent animal than the African Gray.

Because people from my generation and older referred to everything as "he" and "him" as the default gender, that's why we have "mailman" and "congressman" and "fireman" etc. and you will often still see this in things like the online video game community (Although it's fading out slowly) where everyone refers to any gamer as "he" or "him" assuming every player is male, but it's slowly changing...

Owning a parrot is a commitment. We got our African Grey Timnah as a baby. She will be 28 this summer. They live a long long time so you need to think about that and who will take her if..... You are her flock, and she will grieve when we are gone. She does tricks and says over 200 phrases. She does not mimic. She says things at appropriate times and no other times IE in the morning when she first hears or sees you, she will say Good Morning. At night when I cover her cage, she says Time to go night night. She sees you putting on your coat or picking up your keys she says, Time to go bye bye. Again, at no other time. It is said that African Grey Congo or Timnah are the very best talkers and have the intelligence of about a 2-year-old child.

DIALgaming she probably uses trigger words or motions so if she waves her arm she makes this sound or if the lady says this the parrot says that back. That would be cool if it did know though

he only says the same thing on all shows and she strongly pronounces words that are related to the action. like "blablabla PIRATE…. blablabla WATER?….. and so on listen for it

@@shrapnel8415 Talking birds do have some sort of cognitive understanding actually, they usually understand what they say but they either don’t fully grasp the concept or they put a meaning into a word that isn’t necessarily its exact meaning. But I do agree that this one is trained.
