EJ is so sweet. I’m just imagining him going to pick flowers just by himself in a field or forest. That is so wholesome and he is adorable. It’s a simple thing but it’s so thoughtful. I definitely think EJ’s love language is acts of service. We’ve seen that since season one. He truly cares for Gina so much and he is so proud of her. She has worked really hard and she deserves this role. Gina will be great as Anna.

Please don't let Ricky get in the way of this! Ricky just needs to either be single or find someone else to date because the Portwell ship has set sail.

And the rest of the season tries to depict him as a bad boyfriend just because Corbin Bleu buried him in what essentially was an objectively impossible task for an 18 year old.

I’m so glad EJ changed since season 1 because I mean after everything he did against Ricky or Nini, I was in the point of hating him☺️☺️

I love Portwell so watching season 3 was awful to me. They built up EJ and Gina in seasons 1 and 2 so much and had them connect emotionally, and it was beautiful. EJ showed he cared deeply by doing the smallest yet significant things for her without expecting anything in return. Gina saw that and she appreciated that, espeically since at the time Ricky had only cared to talk to her when he wanted to complain or vent about Nini or his parents, and she said herself that he was always expecting her to be there for him without really caring about HER in general. Ricky saw that she liked him but never addressed it or gave her closure to move on and she felt like he was taking her for granted. EJ was the opposite. He even bought her a plane ticket in season 1 and showed he cared about her in many different ways without any strings attatched. In return, she saw him at his worst, listened to him and gave him a chance when no one else did. She forgave him for his past and knew he was a good guy, even when he didn't think so himself, because of what he does for other people. And now suddenly in season 3 he's "neglectful" and doesn't care about her enough? He was flaky sometimes, yes, but is it his fault for trying to think of the bigger picture? He put his blood sweat and tears into making sure Gina had a good time as Anna, into making sure productions and plans went smoothly, and he was trying to face the pressures of his dad & to stay in Salt Lake. He had to sacrifice his free time and his final teen summer camp experience (which he thought was going to be fun and relaxing) to be a director, something he NEVER wanted or asked for, and she couldn't see that or even try to thank him for that? She rooted him on like everyone else but when he seriously asked for help or advice no one helped him out or tried to lessen the burden he had. And there's the thing with Gina and Ricky. Gina was completely over him by the end of season 2. She had definite feelings for EJ and didn't care about Ricky in that way anymore. He had his chance and he never addressed her feelings and went to Nini or the other girl instead. And Ricky hadn't seen Gina since the end of the school year and was dating someone else entirely. Sure, that girl was likely a rebound, but it was a rebound from NINI. So when Ricky dumps the rebound and goes straight to camp, he hasnt seen Gina in a while. But then he's suddenly jealous of EJ and likes Gina even though there was no build up to that? His last serious feelings were toward NINI, and he LOVED her (to the point of letting her go), and that wouldnt go away so suddenly. There was NO hesitation from him into liking Gina or even a reason for liking Gina and being jealous of EJ. His first scenes when he got to the camp he was already jealous of EJ. But there was no build up to that. ....I just hate that they made so many fans care about the Portwell relationship so deeply only for them to rip it apart for Rina. I don't mind Rina in general but the way they did everything in season 3 was sudden and forced asf. They made EJ look like the bad guy (even though he never really was) as an easy out even though they could have added much more to his character by going a different route with their arc. Having another love triangle between the same two guys is so watered down and unrealistic. They really did EJ dirty in season 3 and I hate the writers for it.

He is the best boyfriend. He cares so much about her. If they left Ricky ruin their relationship I'm gonna be beyond pissed. These two deserve each other. 🤍

They literally changed Gina‘s whole personality this season.
