Ever wonder why Dane and Emily have always been so confident in whitewater? The basics are a huge part of that. Rolling and Bracing is not something to be taken lightly! Everyone can learn it and be an expert in rolling, but not if you are getting poor instruction or just not taking the time to get it right. Embark on this journey with me. So funny, to see Dane so little, especially seeing the kayaker he has become! Probably the best ever. Don't worry EJ, that makes you the worlds greatest teacher!!! I went from newbie beginner to first class 4 in just one year thanks to this series. Thank you

Eric watching you teaching your son and you and the young lady in several of your teaching flix is great. (The 64 year old young lady. 😉) You make it look fun. I'm talking about a different set of videos but very interesting. I loved it. Man buddy, what you guys at Jackson have done for the kayaking industry is truly special. Thanks bud.

Loving your old tip and instructional videos. Especially been watching the party trick a lot trying to make it. Besides you only seen coyo morita, steven fischer and valentine dumolline do it smoothly in a playboat. I am currently trying that and the flatwater backloop and coyo moritas "god standing". Would it be possible for you to make an instructional in depth video for "the party trick" again, "god standing" and "the flatwater backloop"?

Do you teach rolling class? I took class locally and nearly downed. I would definitely like to learn to roll and will travel to learn.

Is C to C roll better than the one taught here? I am a beginner just learning how to roll and I have been using your method to learn, but some people have been discouraging me from learning it, they say your method is hard on the shoulders and it exposes the face and head to obstacles such as rocks. They also say that the finish positions is unstable... I really like your teaching method and would like to be able to have some concrete answers to the concerns above. Thanks for all the help you provide!!

Try the technique for the sweep roll taught by Kent Ford. It's definitely better than the C-to-C, and it also doesn't have any of the negatives (exposed face, unstable finish position, etc.) that you mentioned you heard about the roll taught in the video above. I’m a beginner with kayaks and my parents tried to get me to go in the middle of a lake and I flipped and couldn’t get back up and had to swim back to land 😂 but I don’t have the thing that keeps the water out, I’m sorry it probably annoys you that I don’t know what it’s called but if you see this I need a teacher
