Thank you Andy, for who you are and what you teach. I was an intellect, Buddhist, and anti-christian for much of my life largely due to the behavior of 'christians'. Not long ago, I became a disciple(no short story), and knowing the very personal love and grace of Jesus is very different than mainstream church experience. I was afraid of the body I was joining. Despite becoming one, I still didn't agree with much of what they expressed. I discovered your video series 'Christian, it's not what you think' as well as several others while in prison. I watched them all, many times. It gave me so much hope, in a scary and fragile time in my life. I am so grateful to you and your Ekklesia, you don't know what you have done both for me and through me. Thank you for spreading the gospel of Jesus the way that you do. It transforms even a wretch like me.

The church is the beautiful gift Jesus Christ gave all of us when he sacrificed himself for us on the cross. The Holy Spirit is the church which resides in us all. That’s why there are sayings such as, only God knows your heart. Also when you prey, prey so that no one hears you so your not boosting and your preyers are then sincere Think of it like this, God is way to powerful to be kept in a house, church is in our hearts. God is omnibus, he’s in everyone.i felt that spirit in me and he brought me to my knees after i accepted Jesus Christ to make a home in my heart.

Interestingly in spanish the word is translated from ekklesia to Iglesia, which normally has a connotation of the building more than the assembly.

Where does it say that the first church people didn't meet on the Sabbath?

Forget the meaning of an ekklesia. Look at what an ekklesia actually was. A political entity which received it's business from its ruling authority. An organisation where all members are equal and all members are encouraged and expected to participate. They had a quorum, when Jesus saidi2 or more are gathered in my name there I am in the midst. The early Christian ekklesia was a house group movement structured geographically with untitled servant leaders Church today is still structurally linked to the Roman Catholic church. The early believers passionate lived the apostles doctrine and didn't have communion but had the agape meal instead. The modern church is nothing like the early Christian ekklesia. This teaching if it's lived would reform God's people back to house groups that meet from time to time as a regional ekklesia. Read up on the Greek or the Roman Ekklesia. There is no English equivalent and so the translators used the word church. The early believers Christian ekklesia had almost no overheads and almost all giving was given to meet the needs of other believers. Read acts2v42-47 and acts4v32-37 and the last half of 1Cor11.
