Today we take a ride up the east coast up to EL MEDANO, famous for the world championship kite surfing competitions, away from the kite surfing EL MEDANO is a quaint little holiday resort
with many restaurants and shops,
in the summer months EL MEDANO main square holds fiestas and firework displays on the beach.
El Médano is close to south Tenerife airport, so there is some aircraft noise. The flight path is about 1km north of the beachfront, but the airport is not too busy. The town is a traditional family resort, it is safe and friendly with families enjoying the beach and restaurants. Spanish families are often out on weekends.
