Should have been his 2nd Cox Plate Gauci slaughtered him the year before sitting last , thats why i knew it was all over when he was sitting 4th and 5th as his turn of foot especially as he loved the Valley, but very underrated horse he won a couple of G1s at Caulfield but that Cox Plate field was pretty good and he blew them away.

Wouldn’t say he was underrated. Was the best horse in the land when fit. Was just injury prone.

Should have been 2 in a row, what a great little horse he was, he loved the Valley and was slaughtered the yr before by Gauci, but its great to see a plan come off that took a yr to put together.

Wouldn't say freak but very underrated should have won the yr before aswell but was slaughtered sitting last, with the bookies jockey Gauchi on board. I laughed as the first thing they did after he got beat a nose the yr before was got Oliver on , but then he wanted to ride Haradasun who was a miler not a 2000m horse. But he had a great turn of foot especially for the Valley with the short straight but won a CF Orr and Underwood at Caulfield but never got spoken about much.

@@dazzac74 What did you think of the 2009 Cox Plate ride on him? I went back and watched it recently. A large passage was opening up in front of him just before the rider (Nolen I think) decided to loop the field instead. With the ground saved on the inside there's a good case to be made for him grabbing second. But maybe he wasn't able to let down as well inside horses?

Big horse ? He was Tiny and should have won 2 Cox Plates was slaughtered by Gauci the year before. I remember having a decent bet on him and as soon as they jumped and he was sitting 4th and 5th i knew it was all over as he had that turn of foot and loved the Valley. A very underrated horse. But didn't really like most of the other Melb tracks I know he didnt mind Caulfield, but he was as big as a pony.
