I play concealment build and with it, this ship hard counters more armoured traditional gunboats like Gearings, Khabas, Delnys, klebers. It's unbelievable the success I have had against DDs. And it eats light cruisers easy. Battleships are not safe either, so many times I wreaked the broadsides of battleships busy duelling a friendly. Plus a decent AA helps it with CVs. Very well rounded. The 25 mm belt makes it tanky against most DDs, just have to angle.

Definitely getting this super heavy destroyer/super light cruiser.

I have Bey on all my German destroyers including Elbing with Sims and Jerzy all 3 commanders at 16-3 with OR, LAMN, T&T, SW and Unstoppable meanwhile on the boat I'm running Aimer, Engine, Concealment and Main Reloader which is the same as my Z-23 and ZF6 because I'm used to the 90 second torps but the AP on these German destroyers they do wreck both DDs, CLs and some CAs. Speaking about Will To Rebuild i heard TOMMYBOY601 i believe comment on one of his videos that WG is looking to rework that perk but Elbing is definitely a DD full of surprises.

Elbing is the dd version of Baltimore very fun

I have an 8% torp accuracy.....if your torps are on your ship they can't do any damage. I'm like Oprah when it comes to launching torps(not hitting). And you don't have to land a torp strike to stop or turn an enemy ship around.

I asked spartan if he'll get the elbing, and he said no and said he didn't know why anyone would get it, while saying it's a meme ship. I'm getting it as ill use it like a high tier russian dd

As someone that mostly plays BBs, WtR needs to be reworked or removed. There is no reason whatsoever that a BB should have infinite heals by sitting next to another friendly ship. If a person is having trouble surviving because of HE spam then that is either a positioning problem or they aren't using anything else to help them survive. Examples of survival assistance: Commander Skills - Not the One for Nuisance, Emergency Specialist, Fight Fire with Fire, Firefighter, Master Mechanic Modifications - Damage Control System Mod. 2, Concealment System Mod. 1 I don't use Steering Gears Mod or Propulsion Mod on most BBs anymore as I find Damage Control Mod is just better for survivability overall.

So Elbing V. Stalingrad, which would you suggest aiming for first? I have like... 2.2 mil GXP built up so I can afford one at the moment but I figured I'd ask the opinion of someone who to my knowledge, has both.

I enjoy it but I'm having a tough time putting up big games in it. A major issue with the ship is it's battleship sized turning circle. It's absurd.

The argument for will to rebuild is so bird brained it’s baffling. Battleships should be working for crossfires, not sitting 2km from their buddy. As a bb main Will absolutely needs a rethink, it doesn’t promote good gameplay

Hi Aaron! You really like that THING??? 😱 You can have mine, too. For free! 😏 In my opinion this is the most useless and pointless ship in the game. 😅 Of course the guns are great... IF you catch someone on the broadside. If not there's little you can do in this ship. Torps are more or less useless. The smoke is useless, because almost every cruiser or DD at T7/8/⭐ has radar or at least sonar... Except this one. Agility is poor and your in trouble when fighting against any other DD. Unfortunately bought this desaster at the auction and I regret it every day. 🤦‍♂️

Could be better

Just play a cruiser trash ship like Khabarovsk. You're lose most battles with other destroyers 8/10 times. Poor Concealment means you'll be spotted 1st poor guns means you'll be outpaced in firepower poor maneuverability means you can't Dodge torpedo's/fire effectively
