These people are doing so many things wrong it’s amazing they can afford diesel. As previous posters mentioned buck the tree, it isn’t a “log” until you buck a log off of it. Most importantly, someone please explain to the choker setters that you don’t run downhill over the top of logs that can potentially roll over the top of you, it also makes it slower when something goes wrong to get back to the situation and fix it. Unfortunately for these guys they don’t seem to be able to fix anything.

Those logs aren't gonna roll, that's not steep ground & stumps are holding them in place & they aren't big. It's ok to go out down hill if it's easiest.

Could have upended the log on to the landing. But yes, no reason that shouldn't have been bucked.
