I like that every time Elden Beast does this attack for the first time the music changes to THIS part.

I love how they make the final boss themes a big booming victorious theme, then a soft, beautiful theme that conveys that what you're seeing is something truly divine

I died my first time fighting Elden Beast when it went into the sky and the music was playing; I was just in complete awe and enjoying the moment. Death did not matter.

Regardless of my misgivings with the Elden Beast as a boss fight I’ve got to admit it’s animated ducking beautifully

Despite all the hate, I think Radagon + Eldenbeast (I see them as one fight) are an INCREDIBLE finale

The first time I saw this attack I was so mesmerized by it that it just flat out annihilated me as I stood there going "ooooooooooohhhhhhh, pretty"

I thought Radagon was a great final boss. Then an alien yeeted the entire Elden Ring at me.

Maybe less people would complain about the fight if we had Torrent with us. 90% of grievances are the boss swimming away and the 30 second run to him, Torrent would have closed the gap and outrun his range attacks. It's such a big arena, I don't know why they didn't. It worked for the Radahn fight, I expected it to return. Plus, its fitting since Torrent was with us the whole game, it would have been nice if he helped us out one last time... Edit: I guessed FromSoft also agreed with me :)

This is hands down one of the best boss designs and OSTs I've ever witnessed. Truly masterful.

Tanking this attack with holy damage negation felt so good. Took away only a 20th of my healthbar.

Elden Ring might not have the best graphical fidelity in a AAA game, but it has by far the best visual design of any game I've played. Every moment can be examined like a painting.

This boss was simply too beautiful for me to hate the fight

I’ll never forget the first time getting to this phase and seeing this attack. I was truly mesmerized by the beauty and divine elegance of this boss that I was totally unaware of the ring forming at my feet. I audibly screamed “holy shit” and attempted to run for my life before being rightfully obliterated.

Elden Beast is hated but then this kind of stuff happens... Radagon and Elden Beast represent for me two sides of medal known as Elden Ring - Radagon represents the epicness, all the parts connected to fighting, learning your enemy. It is set in a darker room, being more similar to boss arenas and small rooms, it becomes more personal but also the music and the golden light are giving us a huge spirit and motivation to fight to the very end. It at the same time represents the beggining - as it takes place in the same place where we started to explore Elden Ring way before release - in the dark chamber from the first teaser trailer. Elden beast on the other hand represents the beauty of the Elden Ring, it's mysteries, weird creatures, memorable, painting like views and is somwhat a closer for me to representing the games spirit - this title was a spectacle. From seeing Limgrave for the first time to seeing this attack at the end of the game - this title left my mouth open a lot of times. A lot of last boss fights in From Software history were sad.. but this one is different. It makes you so mixed up with emotions. We are angry because of death. We are in awe because of the view. We are sad that this journey ended. And we are happy that we could go through at least once in our lives.

Radagon and not having torrent wore me down for this fight for me to be able to enjoy it. Seeing this after a while of having killed them actually makes me enjoy the scenery of it.

I don't get the hate honestly, I've been playing from souls games for 7 years and I totally enjoyed this fight. It's is a fitting end to the souls.

I like that you can actually position yourself right during this attack to get a ton of damage on the boss because it always resurfaces in the same place relative to you. This boss gets a lot of hate but I honestly don’t think it’s that bad at all. It just has the misfortune of coming directly after Radagon, one of the coolest bosses in the game, so it feels kinda underwhelming by comparison.

I can't find the words to explain what this track does to me. It's perfect for the last boss makes you feel like you truly are fighting something divine. It probably isn't even aware of its actions either making it feel like as tho it isn't good vs bad here it's a fight for survival and the fate of the lands between rests with whomever wins reigns victorious.

I imagine a much larger version of this attack being used to take over the previous Great Tree.

Even in slow motion, still less time than it takes to close the gap again.

I love that, just like with the Cipher Pata and Coded Sword, the attack is made up runes (letters).

The Elden Beast was sent to the Lands Between by the Greater Will (an outer god). I really don't want to know what other types of creatures the other gods would send. You know, gods like Rot itself or the god of the Deathbirds.

Honestly, this one move is the only reason why I wasn't completely livid over having to fight another boss after being drained by Radagon and constantly chasing the Elden Beast around It's so wonderous and awe-inspiring

Here me out: this attack should be the most powerful attack in the game. This is basically, after all, the god of reality itself.

For such a big and epic move, with the power of the literal Eldlen ring behind it, I wish it would have oneshotted me instead of just dealing some damage. Might just be the max vigor and holy resist talking tho. As for the fight. Ehhh, it makes sense, and honestly, as a living creature, recognizing the threat this tarnish posed, I too would spam my long range magic and zip around my dimenion, making sure the fker never get near me. Suck as a gameplay experience, but it felt good when I think it as God fear me now. After that it was kinda fun chasing the coward and smacking it.

for some reason it really isnt as bad as people said it was on my three playthroughs as it always charges in when after casting its spells and showing its beautiful display of the power that can incapacitate an ascended empyrian

I knew it was crazy but there’s something about seeing the dark map of light up when the attack goes off

I wanted to see this scene again. Holy fuck I remember the first time fighting this Divinely demon I was fucking tearing as it fucking flies and glows, it reminded me how far I made it with my journey with Fromsoftware from Killing Gwyn and the Lord of Cinder to this. It all flashed the fuck back in my head and gave me tears.

As much as I loathed the Elden Beast, he’s got a killer score that plays. It’s so heavenly.

The Tarnisheds when fighting the Elden Beast can't help but be amazed to it while fighting for their life.

The one thing we continue to see is the basic template of the Elden Ring. I wonder if this is how the Elden Beast uses the power of the person it “captures” to make the pattern that we find multiple examples of? Radigons cross hatch that seems to represent order, or the one we find in Crumbling faram Azule that shows the roots. I get the feeling it is trying to capture you during that ability. Regardless, I absolutely love this fight. Every spell the Elden beast uses makes me wonder about its nature.
