That reminds me of the dummy who did a "review" on ER after like 10 minutes where he said he'll refund it because it's the worst game ever. His reason? He attacked Varre repeatedly despite his warnings and then got repeatedly killed by him whenever he respawned. @@anordinaryfaraamknight7370 You get a weaker version but you also get it immediately rather than at the end of the game. Having access to a 10% boost for 100% of the game is generally better than a 15% boost for only 30% of the game (I think that's a generous percentage). Of course you want the better version for PvP but in terms of PvE progression, the benefit of killing Alexander is huge.

@@FurtiveCutless Nah, you don't even really need to use ashes of war that much in the early game in PVE. And on top of that, you won't get that better talisman until NG+ if you go the route of a villain, that is. P. S. AND you won't get a Jar helmet so that's already a no-no

I think they were trying to kill Alexander for the jar shard, but in my opinion if your not a challenge runner, just finish his quest for the Alexander's shard, the one only has 10% boost on ashes of war, the Alexander shard has 15%. Still, just don't kill him, hehe what a maidenless behavior for those guys.

Roundtable doesn't ruin any questlines. Only npc it affects is D as he will teleport there if you don't talk to him but he'll still have the same dialogue essentially

@@yeahwhy5331 not sure exactly.. I'm fairly sure I didn't go to stormveil this last time, just the roundtable. I thought that this was what you were talking about though, NPCs who are affected by you simply visiting the roundtable hold. Not that it will ruin any questlines, rather you can still complete the Aurelia one even if you miss her at first.

My favorite PVE setup for the Hero Class is the Marias Executioner sword. Millicent’s prothesis give the perfect amount of Dex to meet the weapon requirements, and combining that with the winged sword insignia and Godfrey Icon makes the weapon art hit like a truck. You can get all these pieces by the halfway point of the game and it only gets stronger with the thorny cracked tear and Alex’s Shard.

Hey Chase! I was inspired by your first run to start my own. I'm not nearly as good at pvp as you were, so I made it a rule that I can use pve runes to level, but my level cannot exceed the number of furled finger remedies I have, since I get those when I kill hosts or blues! I'm around level 80 after on and off playing, and it's been a blast. Great video here, really enjoying the difference in this one, where you are actually using the pve runes for upgrades and stuff, where the last one you were only using pvp runes. i feel like it'll speed things up a bit, but maybe that's not what you want. Anyways, it's a pleasure watching your videos.

I love this series, happy to see "Season 2"! Just a note if you ever do this again, there is a way to get a permanent invasion finger without fighting any bosses. You can get the recusant finger from Volcano Manor instead of the Bloody Finger from Varre. Here are the steps needed to get it right after getting Torrent: 1. Go get both halves of the Dectus Medallion from Forth Haight and Fort Faroth (shown off in this video) 2. Complete Rya's questline in Liurnia (speak to her, buy her necklace from Boggart, speak to her again until you get the invitation) 3. Go to and take the Dectus Lift to get to Altus 4. Speak with Rya to be teleported to Volcano Manor (as you exit the lift she'll be on the left against the retaining wall) 5. Speak to Tanith to get the room key, go in the drawing room and the finger is an item on the table And that's it! No boss killing, so you can still fight Margit and Godfrey. I do this on basically every playthrough now. The only downside is that it will have you go to Altus, which will progress some questlines. Here's a quick list of the missable things I am aware of 1. Recusant Henricus will no longer invade, making the Hammer Talisman impossible to get. Ironcially the two conditions that stop him from invading are killing Margit and joining Volcano Manor, so like in this video you'll need to do this 2. Going to Altus starts the Radhn festival, meaning the the entire beginning of Ranni's quest (meeting Blaidd underground and having to go on the goose chase to learn it's Radhn's fault) is skipped. So far as I am aware, there are no items skipped from this, just dialogue. Ranni's quest will continue perfectly fine from here, you just join her whenever you first visit. It also progresses Alexander's quest to this point, meaning you don't have to interact with him at all (he will still be at Redmane even if you never freed him from that hole). 3. Some NPCs may move locations. Documentation on this is pretty sparse, the main one I'm aware of is Rodirika will probably move to the Roundtable Hold. The trigger for her to move I believe is going to Liurnia. Only missable thing here is that if you talk to Rodirika first and get the Jellyfish, when she moves to the Roundtable she'll leave a free golden seed in the Stormhill Shack. It's possible that there are other things, but so far as I am aware that's all that happens/ is missable from doing this method. The biggest (short-term) loss there is that since Redmane Castle is in it's festival mode, the Redflame Whetblade for Fire and Flame Art infusions is now locked until you beat Radhn. If you're doing a run that needs that, it's actually pretty easy to just go into Redmane and grab it without killing anything. Hope this is helpful to you or anyone else!

My first playthrough was strength/arcane, I highly recommend farming for powerstance grave scythes. Bleed infusion can proc after only 2 L1s plus it still has pretty great damage output without the bleed. Great crouch-poke and jumping L1s as well. Also great range for roll catching with sprinting L1.
