I think the biggest mistake you may do when use a big ass weapon - not specing into stamina at least in some way. Hit a boss once or twice and back up recharging all your stamina is totally not a good idea in this game, especially considering that DLC bosses constantly charge at you and don't give you time at all.

That’s fair I didn’t have too much of an issue but more endurance doesn’t hurt!

Nightmare from Soul Calibur brings back a ton of memories. Played the first 5 or so Soul Calibur games. I think Soul Calibur 4 was the last one I played. As soon as I saw this sword I thought of you, I knew you would love it since you really dig Arcane Builds. It's a really cool sword.

I am enjoying the focus on charged attacks. For a note, as I've just tested it this instant, Axe and Two Handed Sword talisman do stack on fully charged heavies. My character was initially a LIT/DEX build so I didn't get the magic scorpion to test that. So my build when using the sword has been Shard of Alexander, Axe, Carian Filigree, and Two Handed Sword. I'll tend to swap out Axe and Carian depending on circumstances. Usually replace them with something like the Dragoncrest Greatshield or w/e blocks the most damage for the enemy and the Blade of Mercy if their poise is easily broken. I also tend to use the Stonebarb and Spiked crystal tears for better poise breaking and even harder hitting charged hits. If you use summon spirits and they distract the boss enough, this weapon is disgusting!

I did the same thing, and you definitely should. There are also now a couple dragon communion spells that require purely arcane so you can use them without the standard 25 or higher faith

I actually just found it FINALLY and can confirm it’s a solid addition however in my testing I don’t think it effects charged R2’s? Unless I’m wrong 🫡

Vigor, max out vigor for the DLC then put the rest into strength and endurance

Arcane is mostly there for the stat requirements, and it scales best with strength at a solid B. Yes, go for strength.

When you max out strength (80 strength softcap) should you put the rest into leveling arc or put the rest into mind or endurance? Keep in mind I’m about lvl 220 or so

Acr is really just for the ability to wield the weapon, I would put it into endurance

You can stop boosting strength at 66. It gets multiplied by 1.5 when 2 handing so you will effectively have 99 strength

Nearly any regular attack into l2 is a rollcatch. A few others you need to delay the l2 a bit

It is a kind of strange weapon in terms of attributes/scaling. It's a magic/str weapon but it scales with arc/str instead

Yeah its odd but it mostly scales with strength. Arc is just so you can wield it I believe

The "magic" damage is lightning damage, and scales off arcane

@@smitty215able So if its lighting damage. (Real question here) Then why does it say magic damage? Wouldn't that mean its boosted by things that increase magic Damage?

@@pastorgainzgames correct, I haven't done any serious testing with it but my understanding is that it's boosted by things that boost magic (not lightning) but deals damage as lightning when calculating damage reduction from the enemies
