My apologies, scadutree levels still only go to +20. That's the max. But if you didn't get that in one playthrough, you can still get more upgrades in ng+ and max out.

It's not just lack of scadutree levels people also need to explore and find better weapons armor and talismans. I just found a talisman that makes my twohanding do more damage by a lot .I got +3 crimson amber talisman I be a lot of complainers have not even found that. I just got a new hammer to use with my new two hander talisman. New armor that gives great protection well being lighter then bull goat armor. COME ON PEOPLE do better

With the blocked spirit springs you can unblock them by using mohgs or morgots shackle without finding the stone stack.

@@ExileTwilight I think it is pretty harmless. The shackles also activate the fire-spewing pillars and reveal illusion walls. They have not been touched yet.

I doubt the blessings stack beyond 20. You'll either keep the 20 without it increasing anything more or you'll have to reget them. If I'm wrong, that's interesting. But I will need to see proof.

Yes max Scadu blessing is 20, and max revered ashes is 10. Getting more does not stack they just sit in your inventory like golden seeds/sacred tears when maxed

You would start the expansion 20 already instead of building up to 20 throughout. He was definitely a little bit off making it seem like by new game plus you could have 40.

Bloodloss build, uchigatana on both hands, bloodhound step, mimic, and Bloodflame incantation helped me get through a lot of bosses. Also anything that inflicts rot or Death was helpful. You can make this game as hard as you want or as easy as you want. I got a life to live so I made it easy

I went in on NG+1. I get sad when I hit something for nearly 2K damage and they shrug it off like a bee sting and then 2 shot me with my 1.9K health.

Im also on NG+ , I like to cap at level 150. It's hard but I'm enjoying it a lot. I still find I'm powerful against basic enemies. Probably I'm going to struggle with bosses though. Only done one and I was dying very quickly before I beat it

I’m in NG+1 and I’m ready curious how much harder it is than base game! Remember, in NG+, you would theoretically already have a full set of tears. So we’re double behind!

@@ImKiingg I can hold my own but in NG+7 the gear and levels can only get you so far because nearly every trash mob can 2-3 shot you and every boss can 1 shot you and this is amplified by the dlc difficulty spike. This makes it very difficult

10:38 there are mausoleum coffins throughout the Shadow Realm to duplicate remembrance in the DLC. Instead of being a giant walking mausoleum… it’s just the little coffin with the shape of a person on top sitting out in the open. I know there are a handful but the one that I found was behind the building we meet Ymir in (Cathedral of Manus Metyr). I used all my mausoleum in base game so I’m glad they added addition ones in the dlc.

Worth noting that all(or most, at least) can be duplicated at the minor mausoleums (the ones without bells) in the base game as well.

You can also duplicate remembrances in the DLC itself. I found 2 "duplication coffins" (maybe there's more), but they are in open space, so you really need to look for them.

There are a lot of larval tears in the DLC. I don't remember all the places, but if you go around at night time there are a bunch of spirit tombstones that surround a larval tear. I've found three so far like that.

I entered the DLC on NG+4 🙄. You can get to the Cerulean Coast map fragment through the Dragon Pit cave and behind the huge dead dragon at the Grand Altar of Dragon Communion

I can attest NG+(2) on my main was a pain. kind of a bummer if they do let you continuously stack the tree buffs that i missed out on some stacking power but life goes on.

Im playing the DLC with the dragonslayer great katana, is a very good weapon in my opinion, the ash of war is amazing and the fact that deals extra damage to dragons is OP, and is a quality weapon so i switched my build to use It, and still i think for now is the best wanna see how it gonna be' against messmer

Yeah I'm also at ng+5 with my level being 411, it's a good time but that final boss of the dlc's story is just insane. So I'm going to have to go back and collect those fragments to get the max amount for level 20.

Well started the dlc at ng+. But only ng 1. So the power difference isn’t really anything close to big. Plus even with fragments, bit over leveled kinda

You forgot to mention to not to go near the Shadow Keep without progressing some of the NPC quest or you will be lock out of some of them and missed your chance on getting some goodies...like the Black Syrup.

Yep, can confirm. I went in with new game +3 @ level 382 with the best armor, spells and blasphemous blade maxed out and got my ass hand to me . Went back in with a different character @ 157 that I was using to experiment with did sword and board and am having a much better time of it……still difficult at times but doable.

When you get to the DLC, you will know if you are ready if you can beat the guy with the ring blades as soon as you walk out of the cave. I think that was the test . If you are lvl 100 that guy is going to take 5 mins to beat or 1 hit you. 😂

They should make that if you played on ng+ before the uptade and went into the dlc for the first time it should count as the first journey so if you finish the game on ng+1 you would finish dlc on journey 1 and when you start ng+2 you would be in ng+1 on dlc...

I was forced to start a new game plus because I missed one of the achievement (missed the Gransax weapon). The DLC is definitely kicking my ass but im slowly making progress. I had a feeling that difficulty spike was way to steep to be intentional, but it's too late to turn back now.

There’s an enemy not too far from the first site of grace, a little northwest, carrying a pot. Killing it will grant you another Scadutree fragment.

Scadu fragment do not stack past 20 so if ya get more in next game they store themselves you cant get higher than scadue level 20.

You missed a fragment, an easy one right, at the beginning. Just east of the first burnt town there is a guy holding a pot that is sparkling and will drop a fragment when he is killed

HUGE PERSONAL TIP Against the Pyre Giants. They stay prone for a LONG time. I got stuck and had to run from his feet to his head and I was still able to get 2 light attacks and pulled a crit.

I'm pretty sure you can farm Scadutree and Revered Ash drops. I went over to the Ruins of Rauh before clearing the shadowkeep, and it turns out that they're a rare drop from the shadow enemies there. Put on the silver scarab, take out Wave of Gold or any of your favorite farming ashes/spells, and just keep steamrolling the massive piles of shadow guys in the ruins. They die instantly and Rauh is full of long straight hallways, so just go to town and grind away the DLC difficulty spike until it's comfortable for you.

@@FelisImpurrator haha dude I got so angry with his cheese. One was he had one foot on the cliff the other hovering about 10 feet above the stairs I'm on ground floor level. Dark souls rule is if eyeline breaks it doesn't connect..nope he got me with a firestomp from both above and without his foot even being on the ground

There was nothing I could do even with the fire greatshield and a physick specced for DR and the emergency heal. Every hour in this DLC something decides to be BS enough to kill me twice and reset my runes down from 600-800k. Wild. It's like they intentionally put a golem or a curseblade in at the hour mark for this reason.

@@FelisImpurrator I honestly learned to stop giving a shit about runes but I'm level 379 with 99 DEX 😂 but I feel you on e I legitimately avoided going into places because I'd amassed close to 1.5mil just so I could put two pounds mts in fp just to say I did 😂 the difficulty spike is very obvious on the lead up to shadow and everywhere after

I'm level 607, I'm on ng9+, it's safe to say I've played a lot of Elden ring. Most of the bosses were a pretty solid challenge, even for a soulslike. But Messmer and Consort Radahn straight kicked my shit in. Probably 120+ tries on Radahn (ng7+ difficulty ended up being a big regret). Don't give up guys. The shit is just hard lol.

I’m on a new game plus playthrough and I feel just fine with 4 scadutree fragments. It’s really not that big of a deal. I just had to wear better armor and take off a scorpion charm. Bosses are supposed to be hard in souls games.

When you finish the main story you have the option to restart in new to game with all your items and levels. However, the enemies are also stronger. This is how you get every item or get duplicates because it's impossible to get everything in one playthrough. I'm on ng+8 on my main, and have several at lower NG levels.

Wait so... i started a ng and downloaded the dlc in the ng state so that means the dlc map is in ng state too? No fucking wonder im getting 2 shotted when i have scadutree level 7 lmao insane
