I think my favorite underrated part about this fight is the fact that you GOTTA kill him, not only cuz he’s gonna straight up rip the world asunder if he gets loose, but also because he has been deemed a lord… and there can only be one.

The music Melina hears when she fights the tarnished after choosing the frenzied flame ending.

This is literally a Bloodborne OST and boss. Best fight in all of Elden Ring.

I love this boss and the entire area, it's very different from the rest in the DLC but I feel like the point of it is really to just try and to put the fear inside you this theme fits that very well and I love it.

Fun fact: The “bass drop” is purely made by instruments. Every song in the Elden ring soundtrack is orchestral, and can be remade for a live show 👀

He does "Well, What Is It?" gesture whenever he's firing his cheddar beams, I think he might be too powerful for us.

The Merchant playing in the background is such a nice touch. This is a loveletter for the BB and Frenzy fans

the first time i fought his second phase the attacks synced perfectly with the ost and i thought this was intentional.

DEPTHS OF YOUR FOOLISHNESS

I LOVE that "The Song Of Despair" can be heard around the 3:43 mark. It's my favorite piece of music in the entire game and hearing it when fighting Midra for the first time gave me goosebumps

This boss takes the "Mid" out of "Midra"

was an instant favorite for me

When he rises and just immediately mini-nukes the Area is so peak and the soundtrack makes it even more badass. Elegantly Chaotic!

The true fear this theme installs is bone chilling, as if it’s conveying you made a grave mistake not turning back while you could. Makes me like this boss even more now

Enough… I have endured, more than enough…

This fight is aloooot like radagon…. I like it. Sure it has extremely delayed attacks but they’re nicely telegraphed and you actually know what he’s doing. This fight was a breath of fresh air in the dlc where most bosses are either incredibly fast, or does some wonky shit to where you can’t even tell what they’re doing, and this was still a challenge boss.

The second phase just kicks differently on my subwoofers holy shit

The dark forest area with it’s enemies and this boss music, it gives me Bloodborn vibes.

getting some real strong bloodborne vibes from this one.

I didn't expect this boss and the whole level to be so enjoyable considering the theme and things like that madness tower in the base game. In the times of DS2 this kind of level would have been absolute hell.

Only boss I put my summon sign down because I actually can’t get enough. The visuals are insane and the soundtrack compliments the fight. Wish they would make more frenzied flame content because it’s all been peak so far. Actually got chills on my first attempt and now nothing in the dlc can itch my brain as this boss did.

This made me realize melina is right a world in chaos is bad

I kept losing this fight because I was distracted by the tune being basically a spookier full orchesta version of the merchant's song.

And then suddenly, Bloodborne

It's kinda funny how this has a sort of waltz to it. You could easily ball dance to this

This fight was peak as hell the music and the area before fill you with dread and this just tops it to another level

I literally thought of resident evil 1. The haunted woods, enemies you couldn’t damage, corpses in the front of a mansion, horror and mystery inside. The inquisitors outside with the most powerful in the beginning of the woods made us seem like they were keeping something in not out.

Its weird how i didnt make any connection between madness enemies and the frenzy flame until I've seen the flaming head. Definitely the best moment from the DLC for me since I've chose the Frenzied flame ending the first time and it made me say WTF with a grinn on my face.

Honestly this is my 3rd dlc from the FromSoftwares and Midra is my favorite boss fight in the entire game for me. The music, the mansion, the depressing and chaotic theme is wonderful. 10/10. They should have make Midra the final boss with some more hp and possibly a 3rd phase. ☠️

This was such a fun and fair boss. All other bosses in the dlc are also very good but do have some bullshit. This felt like a very good ds3 boss where you dodge through every swing. The music came straight out of bloodborne, as did the atmosphere. One of the best bosses in the game bar none.

Midra in arabic means "of the heavens" and we can find corpses of three fingers inside the mansion inside the tents outside his boss arena. The aged untouchables touched the three fingers and went mad who then probably touched midra and midra researched the flame of frenzy eventually getting the sword impaled in him making him a lord of frenzied flame.

It’s so nice that fromsoftware made us our very own boss music.

The DLC experience was unforgettable. So blessed to experience it. Absolutely everything I wanted from an RPG

This Is my favorite boss of the DLC! What a fun fight

I think one of the best parts about this boss is that even when you approach the old man, you can still leave, there is no fog wall even after you hit him. You don't HAVE to kill him. He has endured long enough. You did this.

"The Spectral Steed is frightened. And cannot be summoned" God damn this area ruled. So much story and atmosphere packed into one tiny area

i remember i was trying to get to the cerulean coast and somehow ended up here lol, such a cool and memorable area. same goes for midra obviously, actual peak.

This OST is the closest we will ever get to a Bloodborne 2 OST

The theme playing at 3:44 is the same you here beneath the capital, give me chills every time

this OST is really god tier, and the boss design is so awesome.

I’m intrigued by the similarities between the character designs of Messmer and the ever-brilliant Goldmask.

3:12 / 3:54 absolutely MASSIVE chills. This OST and fight are truly something else, and to think of how easy it is to miss it all. Let Us Waltz into Madness.

3:43 you can hear the song the nomadic merchant near the 3 fingers is playing, but it quickly fades into a dissonant tune, makes the boss even more scary

Absolutely menacing, as soon as i walked into his boss room and heard this i knew he was my favorite boss

The soundtrack on this boss hit so hard when I first heard it that I got distracted and died, it's fucking amazing

The beginning of this ost with the inhuman sounding choir that almost sounds like it's throwing up is very creepy, music like this was in the background of my nightmares as a kid a lot. The whole area and buildup to this boss was just too good, reminded me of old horror games I used to play, but the vibe, design and soundtrack was so unique and it crawled right under your skin. This is the only area I'm glad it's totally empty besides like 5 items.

She told him to "Endure", little did he know, he was played from the very start, a foolish and naive arcanist. Forced by a promise to endure so that later on his "unjust" feelings of suffering would be enough to power the Flame of Frenzy.

Do not dabble in what is beyond your comprehension.

3:43 This feels like the Frenzied Flame is mocking you. "THIS SONG WON'T KEEP YOU FROM DESPAIR. NOW, ENDURE!"

He was named wrong. Instead of Midra he should have be called Peakdra.

His entire area felt like the forbidden woods from Bloodborne while navigating to his manor, and this boss fight is peak phase one felt like Micolash & phase two felt like Laurence as only difference is that we’re here to put him out his misery considering he went through pain, suffering, torment, and had to endure it all truly the best boss ever created.

There can only be one.
