When it comes to one-handing with another weapon, I only thought to try it with a full-size shield. From memory, it was a six-hit combo mix of hand and leg strikes that worked just fine. Two handing Martial Arts opened up a much longer, flashier 11 hitter that involved some of those kicks where the practitioner double-taps their target with their foot -- which can sort of root you to the ground for a second while the animation completes. Beyond that, it felt like there was quite a bit of lattitude to shape the combo with light/heavy/dodges, plus the Whirlwind kick. Lots of fun.

Not a prob. Pre prepared were weapons at +25. The ones you'll find at the locations mentioned will not be upgraded at all.

@@GrizGaming ok phew. I was worried that pre upgraded weapons would make using them on lower level builds impossible. Since you can only coop/pvp with people similar upgrade to you. I wanna have level 20 +3(+1 somber) coop character to punch stuff in Limgrave.

I wish I'd thought to look. (Though I may get a chance to go back and check again, so we'll see.) The fact that From attached it specifically to their premade DEX build (and the other people in my session who went Warrior and Sorcerer didn't have it), suggests it's mostly Dex aligned, I reckon.

@@GrizGamingsome other KZfaqrs I saw who played the game said that it was in the Int build as well. Maybe they changed it up in some different play sessions or made a mistake

I did. Brutal. Efficient. I'll be using them a lot as a backup when things get...hairy.

@@GrizGaming hell yeah noted, vi da way did they consume stamina fast or did you manage to still keep some to follow up at the end of a combo or back up, since I relate the beast claws from Bloodborne, there effective but stam consumption is abysmal, can't do full combos with it with out running out first.

You'll have to find where it is in the DLC (it won't be handed to you, as it was in my demo). If you're talking NG+ after Shadow of the Erdtree is finished...no idea. I would very much assume it would carry over.

It most certainly was. Quite effective and fun.

The only weapon that is being used when comes to Martial Arts is your own body. You are the weapon!

Yep, you can.

It said +25 so has to be regular stone. says keen which means it was given preferential dex scaling. I'm assuming there will be multiple "arts" other than Dryleaf with different movesets some of which may benefit from heavy or quality infusion, maybe even this one. Also lightning scales off dex, so if lightning infusable it will benefit from your levels in dex.

Personally, I found Malikeths Black Blade to be incredibly useful. Otherwise, I think you'll quickly shift to the new weapons as they're quite effective, useful, and tuned to the challenges present in this DLC. The Milady is particularly good.
