Elden Ring literally encourages summoning and spirit ashes at every turn. Most of the Remembrance bosses were designed with co-op in mind IMO. Just makes the game more fun in general instead of waiting 10 minutes for an opening to heal

Wrong. The bosses were not designed for coop. They’re all designed for solo play, however, they attuned the bosses to be so hard, they make you have to summon. The AIs of these bosses are not attuned to fight multiple targets, and That’s the reason why they’re easier when you summon. Because the split aggro of two targets exploits the AI Godskin Duo is a boss designed for multiple targets and the ally fight before final boss is also a two or more target boss. Everything else is all solo designed bosses which is why so many people are saying it’s too hard. They’re going in solo, and getting spanked because FSW does want you to summon and they don’t want to. And I don’t blame them. Summoning even in this dlc makes the game too easy. But then on the other hand, it’s too hard solo

Totally agree about the camera, but every single boss was so cool and such a spectacle that I see why they made some of the bosses so big and fast.

The game is much harder with a Katana vs a stronger weapon. I have an Arcane build and with an occult great stars it is so much easier because most of the enemy's get staggert and stance broken extremely fast. And in some emergency situation I use the skill storm caller. Always works and it destroys anything around me. The great Katana that you can get quite early in the game has much more poise and it is much easier to play with then Rivers of blood. You can also put double slash on it and have Rivers of Blood 2.0

I like how exploration was encouraged. It makes sure people truly take in and enjoy the land, and I had fun doing it! I mean what enjoyment would I get from just rushing the main bosses

My issue is base game did it better.

I agree with everything u said. There are so many tools to fight in Elden ring thats why i love seeing different builds. But i remember fighting the last boss saying I cant see a thing 😂

lore wise, it is potentially the highest level setting in a From game when you think about the actual mythological figures you fight. it makes sense for that to be translated to the fight design of the bosses. they're gods, mothers of gods, children of gods, protectors of gods, entities that probably don't even know they're worshipped as gods, etc. i enjoyed the setting even if i don't enjoy the actual fights much. what really got me bummed and itching to finish was the dumbass map design. had this creeping dry loss of energy about halfway through everything for sure. i almost missed entire segments of map and unique remembrance bosses if i weren't playing with messages on. even then the only parts that interested me early on were the southern shores of the map and the mountain because it was linear and awesome. this is definitely one of the best expansions i've ever played but unlike blood and wine, i don't see myself ever enjoying it again in the future.

Just beat the last boss (lv.19 Scadu fragment with Beast claw bleed build). I think the difficulty of the last dungeon+last fight was much higher compared to the rest of the dlc. With scadu lv.16++ things were not as hard for me outside the last dun. May be because I also used Mimic tear when I had issues dealing with some bosses (the boar/sunflower). The last fight however was hell. It was very very difficult even with Mimic.
@veterangamer44474 күн бұрын
Yes. This was the issue for me as well. I feel like the last boss is definitely overturned. It's a noticeable jump compared to the rest. I used mimic as well, plus 2 other summons(side characters quest)to kill him.

The final boss looks impossible, unfair and you feel like your making no progress. However for me I felt this way but eventually the boss clicked and it made sense, I think this boss is great in terms of bringing back that feeling that not many souls players feel anymore and thats that victory feeling after beating a boss for hours. Yes I do think that the boss is disappointing but I feel like its a good boss because once you understand him, his attacks are fun to dodge and your always on the edge of your seat.

Its not correct saying you dont level up the same as old way. Scad frags are just multipliers over your current level, it is just there are soft caps that kick in when you reach the usual level you will get after beating Mohg. Problem with this design around scag frags is that you are somewhat forced to find them, and forcing exploration is not good.
@veterangamer44473 күн бұрын
Correct. It was an issue I mentioned where exploration isn't really an option for most players as most will need the scadutree fragments to make the game easier.

2:40 surely this can be said about the base game or any from title....sure you don't have to do exploration but it will make your life easier

I killed Radahn at lv13 Scadutree with 2 player summons, both died before I defeated him. I guess your main issue was using RoB, my guy.
@veterangamer44473 күн бұрын
Perhaps. I've seen different builds be more successful than others. He's still overtuned compared to others
@MVTVM3 күн бұрын
You literally just said they both died before you beat him, meaning that the boss was hard even with two extra people helping you lmao. You beating him doesn’t make him easy for everyone.

I do not think it is. I am yet to beat the last boss but other than that think about builds all you have at hand. Something always works.
@veterangamer44474 күн бұрын
True. As I said, the big issue is less with the boss themselves and more the camera

It’s just sad that FSW has designed a souls game around using summons to the point where just soloing a boss is now the new challenge run. Yea I get it, summons are a tool, use them, but not everyone wants to play the game on easy mode …. Essentially FSW made a Very Hard mode and an Easy Mode , when summons used to be an option they are now the solution
@veterangamer44473 күн бұрын
This is fair. It's a lot harder for those who don't summon due to aggressive bosses and long combos.
@leojaeger44624 күн бұрын
hard is the wrong word for many of the "difficult" bosses. the issues many people are having and discussing are more that the bosses feel dishonest in their moveset compared to the base game and the previous fromsoft titles. in my personal opinion, they went too deep into the rpg mechanics instead of understanding the issues the bosses would have relative to their action game mechanics. its "hard" in a very different way to a game like sekiro was and in arguably the inverse way.
