Thanks to Bandai Namco for a review code for Shadow of the Erdtree.

Ya same man . I like playing once with cowboy and then go on my own next play through and master it. I beat Sekiro , Bloodborne and Elden ring on ng+7 it really helps .

Quick tip when fighting the knight boss with the horse, First off, HOLY DAMAGE WORKS REALLY WELL AGAINST IT. So use Inseparable Sword or whatever holy weapon you want. Second, JUMPING IS YOUR BEST OPTION WHEN IT USES THE FIRE ATTACKS. I learned this the hard way. Third, it’s honestly really easy if you just get the attacks down like he said.

I second this! Silurias tree spear absolutely decimated him for me. NG+3 and it 3 shot him. You could get even more damage with a better setup. Wait til he’s distracted by your mimic, fully charged ash, rinse and repeat.

That lightning bottle with shard of alexander and perfumers talisman absolutely melts with rolling sparks. Throw on the scorpions lightning charm for even more damage 😂

That boss was shockingly easy. My butt puckered when you said Orphan of Kos but I only died once here haha. Good boss, but def easy. I summoned Thollier as well and even with the increased health he was no issue.

Tip on the rolling sparks, don't lock on and aim down a little, does a ton of damage. Great walkthrough by the way, I"m really enjoying it.

Knight's Lightning Spear incantation works extremely well on Putrescent Knight. If you have the build for it, I suggest using it. Especially since the entire fight is in standing water.

If you go South from the grace at 8:36 you can go around the side of the ship mausoleum and get a Grave Glovewort 7

If you find the putrescence knight hard, use the fingerprint stone shield + bloodhound fang, that's how I managed to kill him first try, without summons, was pretty close though.The shield can absord pretty much all of their physical attacks, you just have to worry about the fire skills.

I just had a sad thought as I was playing through this area and saw skeletons (DS1 memory) maybe this is Miyazaki's magnum opus? The DLC has so many themes from prior games all tied together in this BEAUTIFUL AND EPIC game. I didn't think Elden could get any better but I absolutely love the DLC content. To me it feels like the culminating of 15+ years of refining. Either way, amazing game!

as a caster I had to use a shield for the boss fight although I did get my poise broken easily also lightning spells shredded the boss.

My high level Int Faith character melted him with the Multilayered Ring of Light from the Fissure. Like, I just chucked a couple at him and it made his health vanish. I think it might've staggered him once or twice. Like, he did his phase shift when he died.

My fn status affect animations on my weapons are not working. I thought something wasn’t right when I came back and started my NG+ run. I just upgraded the backhand blades with same ash of war as cowboy and notice my blades don’t catch on fire like his does. None of the status animations are working. If other ppl are having the same problem hopefully it will get patched.

I don’t know what I’m doing wrong with the putrescent knight fight. I summoned people to help but it’s like they can’t join the fight until I am about 30 seconds into it. And by that time, I’m usually dead before they even join. Any idea?

Guys if you having trouble with the putrecent knight maybe try the Dragon-Hunter great katana with mimic cause I got him first try keeping a distance with that slash it does

Dragon hunter katana has been my go to boss weapon this dlc. Solid damage. Decent range. And I can’t tell you how many times I’ve lucked out and dodged some attack when my character jumps to do the weapon art

I'm running around with a bloodfiends arm with the strike ash of war. Want to try the back hand blades but I can't figure out how the fighting cowboy 🤠 gets the blades coated in Flames. I know he mentioned it in a episode but I can't remember which. What ash of war is he using?

Yo Cowboy! If you give a +25 Rellana's Twinblade to your mimic... it is extremely aggressive. Like hitting after the opponent is dead aggressive.

Not that it makes any difference, the outcome is the same.... You can chug the nectar six times in a row then speak with Thiollier, reload the area and he'll invade.

So I died to the boss my first attempt, but on the second, he failed to spawn in correctly and was trapped behind the fog wall. Combined with Mohg's spear made for the easiest boss ever.

@@JUGG3RNAUTT666 You go to the Grace, go to Ash of War > select the Backhand Blade, pick an ash of war and it'll ask what affinity you'd like to change it to at the end. In this case, he selected the AOW: Flame Strike and I believe Occult affinity? I'm still unsure how he's proccing bleed on that though....

In terms of raw dmg u don't think he hits too hard? R u kidding? I could barely get a hit on him. All he did was come after me throwing his blade constantly. Then I'd get pummeled by the horse. Bc by the time I recovered and got up from being hit by his blade. BOOM horse time lol. I'm in ng+ maybe he hit much harder. But this was the worst boss for me so far in the dlc.
