Ah yes, level 200. Basically level 150, but everyone does like 15% more damage and has a bunch of mind and poise.

SL200 is where i like to sit, and i think it's the more fun Soul level. After putting your damage stats to 80 or 50/50, you have enough to get to the softcaps of your HP/Stamina/Mind. Idk how SL150 isn't just 1-shot simulator

I like level 200 for invasions and co-op. Contrary to the straw man, I see a lot more build variety at 200 and than 120, but more or less the same as 150 with more fp and a little more damage usually.

I love how (mostly) everyone has just agreed that 150 is the meta and that you dont level beyond that. No arms races. People actually respect the rules. Its amazing.

Highest I've ever gone is 150 on my main. Fascinating to watch Chase tackle the 200. How is the invasion frequency here, by-the-by?

RL200 feels so good. The metaslaves stay at 150 so I get wonderfully diverse builds every duel and invasion. There are still some bleed users but not as much as 150. The reason you get a lot of Bleed builds in 150 is that it has a low stat req to get high damage. If you are sick of them, migrate over to RL200 :D

fyi we appreciate the 1440p 60fps so much, I don't see that praised enough

My friend and I are doing a class run. He's a rogue so dual knifes. I am a ranger, mostly bow with a straight sword if I'm out of arrows. Both light rolling and like under 40 poise. Once we get out of limgrave, we can't wait to get to liurnia and end game places.

is the pyro build your favorite build now? Maybe it's been cuz you've been playing it a lot lately, but it seems like you enjoy it a lot... it does add another layer to the combat because of the combos and spell casting which is not your usual thing. It's cool to see you using spells though!

I’m having lots of fun at level 150/155 and wanted to try 200. I feel like the dmg numbers across 125, 150 and 200 are basically the same. From needs to raise defence values between PvP players or just lower the dmg by a good 30 to 40% across the board in PvP (now that they finally can do separate balancing frost PvE, thank God). At level 200 you are just basically that slightly overlevelled to allow for a lot of creativity though, so it looks fun to me. How did it feel? I’ve seen Peeve having lots of fun at his new main invasion build at level 200.

I’m level 380 something. Invading at higher levels has always been more fun for me because you see more variety. Someone will kill you with a weapon and you’re like “wtf? He had 3 weapons equipped? Iiiiiight, didn’t see that coming”

I don't understand the people that are still saying to stop leveling at 120,130 or 150... This is an open world, progression is different than all the others games, the higher you level up, the better. Meta should be at 200/250

lvl 200 stuff is really cool! I feel the 120 level is too low for invasions as I'm finishing the game around level 170 if i level up consistently throughout. So I think its cool to see higher level stuff around there.

i didnt Know about meta levels so i got to level 200 before i stopped and there is no way im running another character through to 138 or 150 honestly i dont see the difference i barely have to respec because i always have 50 strength and 50 dex and 70 vigor 25 mind and 45 endurance and the rest goes onto a stat i want to make a build of like faith or arcane i have get an invasion every time i go for one and theres always duelists in fact i have a friend whos nearly level 500 and he gets more duelist signs and quicker invasions

The coliseums 3v3s at 250 are insane. And I love it

People always go on about level 125-150 metas but I had plenty of duels etc with my level 250 character and there were not any Havel mages and silly stuff. The amount of people summoned for duels was honestly higher than a 125 and 150 character I saved. Just regular characters with their typical play styles.

I can just imagine 'Duel of the Fates' queuing up as you walk out the elevator at 9:00 lmao

I did this with one of my Chars, however It was really hard to find anyone at that lvl to invade...Sometimes waited hours.

I've seen a lot of sl 200 builds for all types and the all have interesting builds I would recommend trying each one out

200 is surprisingly a top tier level range. You’re too high for the meta scrubs and too low for the top bracket. Lots of ng+ playthroughers and less dedicated gankers

I made a new character and tried pvp at various levels to see what was actually fun. Starting Level: lame because 70% of your invasions are against helpless hosts. 20: over-leveled phantoms (OLPs)have poise but you don’t. Hybrid damage scaling on some weapons used by OLPs is really high to the point that a single R1 is nearly a one shot. 34: +3/+1 weapons and you’re good to go. I got instant invasions and good fights. You have the stats to run poise and fight OLPs. 40-50: Really hit or miss. Lower weapon level means more invasions but your damage is pretty pathetic, and host team’s damage isn’t. 60: +12/+5 was sweaty town. Hope you like fighting Moonveil, because you’re going to see one in every invasion. 75: +17/+6 it’s like sweaty town 60, but damage is really ramped up. Invasions were slow, fights ended in a couple hits. 100: +20/+8 a very active but try-hard ganker bracket. You get instant invasions because your range is huge, but fighting meta-level people when you’re doing 20% less damage than them sucks. 125: it’s “meta-level” because the community decided so. On Xbox it’s active but not as much as you’d think. 137: it’s meta-level but you can match with the people who went to 150. Invasions are instant and fights are as expected. 150: nothing but sweaty, like the sweatiest, Moonveil + beastjaw + a mage spamming comet/stars people in invasions. 200: like 150 but you have so many stats you can deal with it better. Going above 200 is pointless unless you’re going way above it for max level fights. Max Level >375: due to buffs you’re actually doing less damage to each other than lower brackets but things are silly. People tend to be less toxic because no one cares what builds/weapons are used. I had more fun here than going past 137.

Whoa, the damage seems REALLY high on 200! I was wondering how it looks on real low level invasions. My friends usually complain that they run into Noobkiller/Oneshot Builds constantly at low level. Is the damage just as high? Never tried super low level invasions.

I don't get past lvl 150 in any of these games, but for ER I decided to get to 175. I think this is a good lvl for those like me that just run NG+7 over and over again and pvp a bit.

You should try a light roll build! It's much better since the one patch buffed it and it's fun literally rolling circles around people.

im glad u tried out lvl 200!!! since elden rings quietened down a little. on playstation i find 200/250 is significantly busier than 90/125/138. theyre all dead sometimes when i play where as my 200/250 builds are always instant. what are ur final thoughts on this range? is it something u will try a little more of? perhaps experiment with different levels?

Me and my friend duel with invaders by the Honor rule, honest duel unless the invader heals themself with a crimson flask. Then my friend is allowed to join in.

Chase instead of using 2 Giants Seals, use the Dragon Communion Seal to cast with the Giants Seal in your other hand. The incant scaling on the Dragon Seal is a lot higher when maxed out so you'll do more damage with the Giants Flame incants. I've tested both setups to make sure.
