I want them to add the ability to store levels at rennala, so if im level 300+ i can delevel to level 150 and pvp without being at a level that makes match making much more challenging.

I went with dual wielding the uchi and wakizashi for aesthetics. They powestance together despite the wakizashi being a dagger. And you can parry with it. For armor I wear the samurai set but with the Kaidan chest. The wolfskin gives it that Warlord feel because it looks like the overcoats samurai commanders wear. But the preceptor robe also works as it looks like a yukata with a cape draped over it.

Being able to light roll was a game changer for me with certain bosses. I now see why people just run around naked in pvp and pve

Thats the build that makes gameplay the most fun for me, you actually have to doge attacks and battle and it is not a bad build at all, highly recomend

Excellent build, i made a similar build but with about 8 less dex so i could get 15 faith (plus 10 from physik) and cast golden vow, bloodflame blade, and flame grant me strength. Death!

Try this with power stances nagakibas and a quality scaling setup you literally can do nearly every ash of war in the game and make it do great damage

There's a great middle ground between Supreme Samurai and Stormblade where you can use Stormblade while incorporating a lot of the elements of Supreme Samurai to make a crazy Stormblade Samurai build that just wrecks.

Since poise is so meh in this game you could also use the lightning scorpion charm for 12% more damage if you don't mind taking 10% more damage. You can typically offset that pretty easily by just eating boiled crab, though.

I'm doing something similar. I'm using the knights great sword with piercing fang aow and the red lightning damage buff. it absolutely shreds and really fun. plus, the knights gs has a unique moveset just like the hollow slayer gs from ds3.

If you want a blind faith samurai outfit, I recommend using the prophet blindfold, reed pants, bloodsoaked rags gloves, and the altered perfumer's garb.

You can also spec into the stats needed for the blade augment spells since Nagakiba isn't a special weapon, so you don't have to spam out drawstring greases to get blade augments

I'm level 178 using this , it's awesome I have the jar helm, and white reeds for the rest .

Lightning lancer full game build please

I used a similar one but went full nox swordstress and used da spinning slash AoW. Was great, could even triple knockdown into stance break against Malenia with the right timing.

been experimenting with unsheathe, its very powerful. Three L2 R2 weapon arts in quick succession usually poise breaks a boss with less poise, like margit or tree sentinel. Would take 4 or so for high poise bosses like godrick. It is similar to charge r2s, but so much more damage.

If your gonna put points into endurance you might aswell chuck in the bullgoat leggings and gauntlets

The default weapon art also has the ability to be set to keen. I prefer it for PVP with a samurai style build. Nagakiba is a beast with that crazy range.

Currently dual weilding morgotts cursed swords with claw talisman. I get insane stance breaks, with rwally good bleed. Def reccommend after the latest patch.(im lvl 232 ng+2)

I currently have a similar build with a nagakiba and hand of malenia with bull goat set, it’s not light load but it’s still very good and depending on boss I change nagakiba between keen and blood affinity

I actually was just playing with someone using this build, we both got summoned for Godfrey, unfortunately he didn’t last long as he messed up his rolls too much but he was doing good before that

Nagakiba is to this day the best Katana (yes even better than the L2 spamming Moonveil and RoB)

Have you consider also using sword dance

I like using the bestial sling incantation. it's like throwing kunai

You could easily swap the infusion to lightning and replace the dragoncrest with lightning scorpion then if you use lightning cracked tear you can deal massive amounts of damage with ease

All my homies never use defense talismans, we hate defense talismans.

If only unsheathe worked like it did in ds3 where it had a parry option

Counter argument, this is the build of a Ronin. Samurai is gonna be a more versatile style weapon wise and mobility wise, favoring a good balance between things like tankiness and mobility.

I've done something similar to this. I call it the "Ronin". Basically, I have: High Str High Dex High Endurance A 40 Vigor limit 20 Mind for frequent use of Weapon Arts Low Equipment Load Skeletal Armor Headpiece Confessor Chestpiece Any matching dark colored gauntlets and greaves (can be of the same set) A Quality Nagakiba with Piercing Fang A Quality Uchigatana with Unsheathe A Parrying Wakizashi (Optional) A Quality Cross-Nagitana with Sword Dance or Flaming Weapon Fire Grease With this character, I've dealt good damage paired with good dps, and, should I need it, natural bleed can step in, as they all have a minimum Bleed of: 45 (Uchigatana and Nagakina), 38 (Wakizashi), and 50(Cross-Nagitana). I personally like to add the Great-Jar's Arsenal Talisman, should I wish for thicker armor to wear (without breaking the dark aesthetic), or like the Cross-Nagitana and/or Wakizashi as backup weapons, should I face an enemy who needs more raw damage per parry over stance-break (LOOKIN' AT YOU, CRUCIBLE KNIGHTS). I also like to have the Green Dog Talisman for Stamina Regen and not worry about premature death with the Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman; and for damage, add in the Rotten Wing Insignia, or Dancer's Charm Talisman. It was a pretty great run. Felt even better once I switched from Radahn's Great Rune to Bloodborne's Rally system.

I use Moonveil for Vergil build. You use it for easy gameplay. We are not the same.

Dragoncrest not needed imo Alexander shard or Prosthesis for 5 extra points in other stats

Wouldnt double slash be better than unseathe?

I play bleed dex with 2 curved blood swords that with supuku gives each blade 95 bleed buildup each so you basically cause bleed every 2 hits. Id advise getting some Arcana as well as itll make the bleed proc biggiger and with 2 95 bleed build swords you have 190 bleed build up and they are fasstt

When ya that low poise, using the bull goats talisman is just waste of a slot
