Sword Lance has to be one of the best weapons in the entire game. The fact that it's a remembrance weapon that can be infused is also incredibly cool, as it's the only one! It also helps that it looks appealing visually, which is something not enough people appreciate their weapons for.

Sword Lance also has the highest possible status build up rate which is usually reserved for Colossal Swords only if im not mistaken. Its certainly much higher than the other heavy thrusting weapons by a large margin. Blood infusion with spinning gravity thrust deletes enemies.

I wish we had more hybrid weapons. I'm a huge sucker for weapons that have the R1s from one class and the R2s from another. Or the 1h moveset of one class and the 2h moveset of a another

You could probably be an absolute menace with the deflect tear with this thing as well lol. Insane AR on a Strength build compared to both HTS and Lance, decently good guard boost for a weapon, and the Lance's Guard Counter animation instead of the Thrusting Swords

I really love the Sword Lance. It does great Cold scaled on my STR/INT build, and you can shield poke with it!

Chase just wanted to let you know that when people are doing the three fast thrusts of the messmer spear AoW you can actually back stab it during that time found it to be a good window as they’re stuck in the animation of it

I'd love to see you use the Blind Spot backhand blades, they seem very anime with how you can dodge attacks with the weapon art

You should try this build again but with the Deflecting Hardtear, the Guard Counter on the Sword Lance is the same as the Lance, and I recently watched a video by Oroboro going over a Guard Counter Lance build to surprisingly good effect, and the Sword Lance would perform even better since it has way more damage and better blocking stats than the Lance, while having the light attack move set of a Heavy Thrusting Sword. If you wanted to optimize this to go even further beyond, you'd start as a Hero and wear the Imp Head (Lion), Verdigris Chest and Legs, and Lionel Gauntlets for maximum protection and Poise for more efficient trading when up against random chip damage, with 58 Vigor, 44 Endurance, 79 Strength, and 11 Dexterity. You'd still be using Royal Knight's Resolve, the Two-Handed Sword Talisman, and the Spear Talisman, but you'd be adding the Curved Sword Talisman and Greatshield Talisman to your arsenal to make your Guard Counters as safe and powerful as possible, both of which could be swapped with the usual hotswap Talismans like Crimson Amber +3, Erdtree's Favor +2, Blessed Dew, Fine Crucible Feather for cheeky backstabs, Bull-Goat's when fighting big weapons, Crucible Knot for denying Throwing Dagger Headshot Combo shenanigans, etc.

I'm honestly amazed you didn't throw on piercing fang. I figured that R2 R1 combo functioned basically the same as the claymore. With the crouch poke into R2 combo followed by the piercing fang when they finally roll away after almost dying just to get roll caught.😅 Same scenario with giant hunt. There’s a lot of good weapons in the DLC. Try the horned warrior greatsword ash it has a combo and a guaranteed roll catch if they panicked plus an insane range ,with the new talisman that increases storm’s damage its powerful

I put stamp upward cut on that because I can, if I'm smart, dodge their attacks and land a decent hit. Plus it cuts, and that sword needs a cut attack

I have been absolute amazed by this weapon on a Str Faith build with the new flame skewer ash. I have never had a weapon file my taxes for me its been amazing

I love the damage on the Sword Lance

Running r2 with royal knights resolve hits all 3 times while active. That with the 2hand and lacerated crossed-tree talismans while buffed with exalted flesh and golden vow I was hitting the omens at the underground roadside for 5200 damage (No buffs 3480) . That was without counter damage so it can be higher. That is certainly 1 shot damage in PVP.

Id love to see you do a glass cannon build with the dragon forms or to see your pure wiz swordstress try out miriams vanishing!!
