A group of elderly people in eastern China’s Liaoning province were seen dangling themselves from trees in a park, by resting their necks on a special harness. The neck traction device was modified by a 57-year-old man, who claimed that swinging the body while hanging like this can cure neck pain.

I could never do this. I remember one day I was waking up to go to school. I stretched my neck while lying down. I usually sit up to stretch my body. Anyway, I ended up pulling a muscle connecting my neck to my shoulder. I couldnt turn my hear to the left for at least a week. I'd be scared to even attempt to try this "exercise".

They have been probably training for years. I have seen similar training by Shaolin monks. Maybe it's in their culture. But for the rest of us, untrained folks. Might be risky to suddenly decompress spine with full body weight For cervical disc prolapse and cervical vertebrae displacement, there are machines orthopedic surgeons use to decompress the spine but they use very little weight. -From an Indian Doctor (MBBS). I also practice moderate level yoga so I understand a bit about exercises and orthopedics.

@@karenrichardson8918it's very easy to make it yourself at home. I made it in my bedroom, and I'm doing the simple traction (without moving) for already 5 years now because i had a very bad cervical spinal disc. Of course i started with relatively light weights and after several months i reached to my body weight. There was no other way to cure.
