The thing about media (VCR, tape cassettes, CDs) is they were all intended for short term storage. Even if a CD game is still in the box, "disk rot" is a thing. I'd be surprised if they are even useable after 25 years of storage. And if they are on floppy disk, that is even worse. Floppies were never intended for long term storage. I've seen floppies disk become unreable even with just a year of storage. Hell, back in the days of Windows 95 I kept two full stacks of Windows 95 floppies because more than one in each stack was going to go bad if I needed to reinstall Windows 95.

This is why you shouldn't have Bank Account autopay as If you pass on or get Incapacitated your bank account will just keep going down until it runs out. But yes if your all alone with no one to leave your money and personal property too then it doesn't matter.
