Josh, the HARD WORK that you put into that yard was amazing. Obviously you do yardwork for a living, and it shows. I used to mow my boys school to help with tuition. Normally took about 15 hours, which I had to break up throughout the week, or 2 LONG days on the weekend. Midwest weather would sometimes make it difficult to cut, due to all of the rain, and so the grass could get really high, and thick. So when I saw you having to make double cuts, and more, plus raking into piles, I felt your pain. You could fit about 5 soccer fields onto the backside of the school alone. But what you did to transform a nightmare of a lawn, into well groomed yard, must've been greatly appreciated by the homes owner, but also by the neighborhood. Thanks for sharing.

Looks great, you do really good work! Watching this was very therapeutic for me! It brought back a lot of memories. I ran a lawn mowing business from 1992 to 2010. I did many a yard that looked just like that. I hated it when people let their grass get way out of hand like that!! I always worried about hitting things and often did. I never had employees. Didn't want the headache. I mowed around 20 to 25 lawns a day, mon. thru Fri. from about Mar. 1st to about Nov. 15th depending on the weather. At my peak I had 112 lawns that I mowed every week. I had a small Toro commercial (21 inch 2 cycle) mower and a 42 inch Walker riding mower. The Walker cost me $13,000 but pd for itself many times over. I also had a Toro edger and many trimmers and blowers. It was great while I did it but I got tired of it and now I'm a long haul truck driver with my own rig. Owner operator. But sometimes I really miss my mowing days.

I love being solo, tried running a bigger business before, it was a more money but a lot more problems running dealing with employees and all the extras that come with it, I’ve been mowing stuff like this for years before KZfaq started. I seem to be a magnet for crappy yard callers so figured why not make a channel about it. That’s a lot of yards to be mowing, 22 is my record. But okc is huge and stuff was spread out a bit. I’d make a lot more running a lawn business with employees, but I love doing this KZfaq deal, It allows me to spend more time with family. I’ve tried to get out of mowing several times but keep coming back to it, probably gonna be doing it forever.

Great job. Now this house looks like the rest of the neighborhood. A lot of times, people comment about neighbors not helping one another. We should be aware, neighborhoods age just as people do. In an older community, neighbors are physically unable to maintain their own yards let alone another persons. When we finally slow down and are incapable of taking care of our properties, we have to pay someone to do it for us. Right now, I'm still able to take care of my yard although it may take me 1-3 days to do so. Not sure about anyone else, but I wouldn't be able to afford to pay for my lawncare and that of a neighbor no matter how much I like them. You are absolutely right! I was taught to respect my elders and to lend a hand/assist them if they needed it... no matter the need, and with no expectation of payment. I'm now 65, and I still do as I was taught.

Seems like there are lawns on either side that are being kept up. Why wouldn't they just take turns or split the difference? In 1993, there was a blizzard. In 1994, my dad bought a snow blower. When it snows he fires it up and does the entire block. Just being a good neighbor

Shame on neighbors who let this get so out of hand! I have mowed 6 of the houses near me at different times to help out a neighbor -and never asked for a thing. Good on you for doing the right thing here and getting a great video out of it too.

I tell you the truth, they have received all the reward they will ever get. 3 But when you give to someone in need, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. 4 Give your gifts in private, and your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.
