In colored areas gangsterism and killings is popular for around 100 years. Their great grandfathers, grandfathers, fathers up to children. As we grew up in Cape Town hearing from our grand parents that some places we must avoid by all means as school children, as we were using public transport to and from destination. In seems like old white government did not care if coloreds were not taking education seriously, or their lives were affected by these dangerous gangsters. It was like in every colored household, there will be a father, uncle, son and a juvenile trained to be in gangsterism. And the people were building highest fences to protect themselves from neighbors gangsters. Places like Athlone , Crawford, Mannenberg, Elsiesriver etc. Man most of us thought it was a normal thing, or culture to colored communities to live in fear of bullets flying around and knives, axes, garden forks and spades chasing to harm or kill. We thought it is their culture of manhood maybe. Because colored parents will go to schools to fight teachers for disciplining or suspending their children for various serious reasons and crimes. In black communities people on the other hand do their best to discipline their children, to the point of calling the police to intervene or their children to spend a night or weekend in holding cell, just to experience life in prison. As they they grow older, and parents can no longer punish them, then the nearest neighbor or parent brings in neighbor watch like CPF or street commitee to intervene and interact later if the problem is not solved. All of these methods are used to save a child before ending up in jail for real. But there are those who can't be helped any longer, and that's when the street commitee together with parents will involve law enforcement to do its duty. All these gangsters would have never make crime a normalize or culturing it, if from the start the national party didn't treat them with gloves. And now they are the generation of gangsterism. We need to pray for them, and I wish that soldiers would disarm them their weapons. I'm praying for all communities suffering from this disease of gangsterism and drug addiction in Jesus name 🧖‍♀️😇🙏🇿🇦

Sad part is that its their own Fathers, Sons and Daughters causing this mayhem. Seems like the family unit needs to be fixed up by others. A very short term view.
