Er, most politicians are only in their position due to the powers that be giving them that position. And in this case its not really an U-turn. The Biden administration (and EU countries as well) were already anti-israel. They just stopped giving lipservice and stopped pretending towards the outside because Israel clearly is fed up with being their narcisistic abuse victim and is no longer obeying their commands.
