I think the actual sound of the arc furnace going full blast would have been a hell of a lot better than the music in this video. I know because I've heard them live.

Brand new Melt Shop this, first charge for that scrap basket i'd say... I'm a Melter on an EAF, our new Melt Shop looked like this back 12 years ago when we first started production. The shop doesn't look this good for long lol...

This was probably the first pouring of the company. There are a lot of observers that probably knew nothing about the process.

@@Engineer9736 the fact that the plant is so clean should be enough evidence that this is probably one of the first pours this place has seen. After a few years that whole place will be 50 shades of rust from top to bottom.

Amazing how clean this mill was, seemed brand new and looked like they were melting practically outside with no bag house system. Then I pressed the drop down arrow for more information and seen this a facility iran, that explains it, there's probably no carbon emissions laws there. Just a small inkling from working in a melt shop.

This epic-sounding music definitely corresponds with what's going on in this video. Does anyone know what this music is, or where it's from, a movie, etc.? It's definitely dangerous work that can be life-changing in a heart-beat. Thanks for posting.

It's Black Blade by Two Steps From Hell, an American music production company. They make a ton of music for stuff like trailers and that sort of thing. Black Bade was originally in the Mass Effect 3 trailer: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/m6ibp9yqxrydfI0.html

Why do the rods move up and down? To keep the arc?
@2fas4me24 жыл бұрын
I believe that the rods must be in contact with the metal in the bottom of the furnace. When lowered and fully arcing the rods bounce due to the magnitude of the voltage as it vaporizes the metal directly below the rods. It is literally the force of lightning as it heats up and melts the metal in the furnace.

The heads are on regulators (auto mode if you will) at least that's why they go up and down on the arc furnace I run lol
