Please don't be offended but as a printer (35 years in business) and just checking this out as a quick alternative to letterpress creasing - I need to say that you are creasing on the wrong side of the stock. Maybe it seems counterintuitive but the crease should be done on the outside (ie with the image up) and not the inside of the card. Anyway the machines seems like a neat alternative to a letterpress score.

@@peterkratoska4524 It’s holding up great! We still use it for all of our greeting cards creasing needs. Some people commented that the center crease is off by a few mm so the card doesn’t fold perfectly in the middle. We have seen that as well, but after some calibrating we’re able to re-center it again.

@EasySundayClub
@EasySundayClub 5 жыл бұрын
Hi @svestra . I have not used the press creaser. I assume that the press creaser is better if accuracy is key for a more valuable document or paper. You can have more control over the amount of pressure u use. Of the course the creaser is better for high volume folding. It is consistent and quality depends on how much you calibrate it to begin with which takes time. Thank you!

Thanks for making and sharing this video. I'm interested in this very machine, though I have some doubts, as I need to make more creasing lines in a single pass, so I need to add addtional creasing rollers (the wheels on the bottom rod) and creasing blades (at the top). Do you have any experience with adding rollers to the bottom rod? And if so, how complicated is it?

Hi Cathy, thanks for this review it was super helpful. Do you know if the machine auto feeds? Can it score multiple sheets at a time or do you have to feed the sheets through one by one? Your help will be greatly appreciated. Thank You
@EasySundayClub
@EasySundayClub 5 жыл бұрын
The machine does auto feed but you have to bring it in close enough for the gears to catch the paper. you can only feed one at a time although with thin text paper, you can probably do a few. Feeding one at a time is still speedier than manual scoring though imo and is kinder on your hand and wrist.

I spent some time looking at different greeting cards and I noticed they were all about 1 mm wider in the front than the back. I'm assuming this is because it's easier than trying to get every thing lined up exactly, but I don't know for sure. I did buy the creasing machine and set it to crease in the center, but I think I like the slight overlap. When you feed the card stock through the creaser, is it set dead center or do you measure 1 mm off center so it folds with the slight overlap in the front? Hope my question makes sense :) Thanks

We set it to be dead center and notice very slight maybe 1mm off center when folded. It doesn’t bother me though and prior to making my own cards I probably would’ve have noticed.

No discernable quality difference. A few people in the comments complained about the crease being off center very slightly (not 100% halfway down the card). We noticed that too and haven't spent the time troubleshooting but also think it's not a deal breaker.

I recently bought this from Vevor despite multiple bad reviews and one good one at the time. It works in principle, but to get the creasing accurate is almost impossible with the fact that one of my blue rolling wheels came wonky. That’s £99+ down the drain if I can’t replace it. My background is engineering and I would say for those that can’t assemble an IKEA flat pack you’ll definitely struggle with this. It’s a pretty difficult and fiddly to set up and the ruler line marks are not accurate. It would be nice if they were longer.
@EasySundayClub
@EasySundayClub 3 жыл бұрын
Definitely. I found this review on Amazon that I thought was a good reference: "First off with the complaints coming shortly you'll wonder why I still rated this a 4 star and I'll say it up front... YOU WILL NOT FIND A CHEAPER CREASER CUTTER THAN THESE MODELS OR EVEN CLOSE IN THE PRICE RANGE! Next option "up" which is basically the same type model this is a clone of is 3 times the price (slightly better materials but same thing) and the next up from that you move to thousands. You are obviously buying this or considering buying this because you are not prepared to spend thousands :) All that being said let's start shall we... I bought this to crease and cut jcards for audio cassettes out of cardstock. I have been able to achieve straight results and actually added an aftermarket additional cutting wheel to be able to do 2 cuts at once, the unit only comes with 1 cutting wheel. I should mention that the machine comes with 4 creasers and a perforating wheel (that's the one I switched the blade out for in the pics on the right). This works perfectly for my purposes of cutting and creasing a 5 panel cassette jcard. Now to get to this point where it will do what you want... DO THIS STUFF AT OWN RISK I'M NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR MISUSE, ETC! I found that it's best to remove the hood to access the switch so that you can press the switch to activate the unit as opposed to the standard operation of just having it on rolling all the time. I would probably recommend using an outlet strip with an on off if you really want the hood on but I also find it easier to make sure your paper stock is lined up with the alignment bars as well as the rubber wheels that feed the paper with the hood removed. Not to mention my hood was defective anyway and was all bent up in transport as you can see in the pics. Another problem you will have to overcome is the precision of the unit. When you tighten the creaser holders they move completely away from where they are sitting.. Kinda hard to explain but you'll understand right away. Also if you tighten them at all tightly you will mar and dig into the metal bar as you can see in the pics and you will leave screw marks that will make future precision alignment problematic. That being said, it absolutely can be done as you can see in the pics I have adjusted everything that I need to make most of the cuts and creases for a cassette jcard, they are where they are supposed to be, and when I place a sheet up against the rubber wheels evenly then throw the switch it works perfectly and straight PROVIDED I kinda keep my fingers lightly on the paper stock to avoid any shifting around. So, deal with all of that kind of stuff and you can get results that are well worth the price considering the options. That or start saving for a professional cutter creaser that will run you 1000's. Some mods I will consider and you might want to as well: More wheels and arms, anyone out there find a good source feel free to comment here, I bought one off of eBay that was the last one a guy had, the arm didn't fit the VEVOR but the wheel was adequate to swap out for the perforating wheel to suit my needs of adding a second cut on the same pass; I might also add a "hold down wheel" of some kind that would take the place of my fingers holding the paper nicely in place against the sides; I might consider moving the switch or adding a remote one as well as possibly a motor speed controller to perhaps slow it down a bit to avoid any potential shifting, seems as though it could go a little slower and cut just as well with less side to side. So I give this 4 stars because even with the quirks, busted hood, not so accurate arm placement, etc. it gets the job done that I bought it for with the work I mentioned which was frankly minimal and it's basic enough to replace things if you can find them. Hope that helps someone out there in Amazon land! Have an awesome day!"

This review was terrible. The guy didn't stop talking, but said nothing of any importance. Ten minutes that were wasted and gone forever.
