Kitchoff brand kettle is one of the cheapest and best brands to use. Lasts a good time and has good auto stop thermostatic control.
The most important part which goes wrong is the thermostat switch which needs to be changed in case of an issue. otherwise, all other parts do last very long.

Can you advise? My electric kettle has setup like yours. Sometimes it doesn't turn on. I have to turn it around and at some point it will start. Looks like a loose connection. The kettle is just few months old. Any suggestions?

if its moulded you can't , you will need special heating to remove it. you can try some options like fitting another heating element of larger size over it. or piercing and inserting a rod type heating element. Not for basic home users to do. take help of expert electrician.

There is no negative and positive in AC. Only phase and neutral in AC.kettle work on AC.
