Cheers for this, thoroughly enjoyed it mate! I specifically looked up an acoustic version to see if the chords were possible on guitar and still have the song sound as full- you did not disappoint!!! Who comes up with chord sequences like this anymore? It's not just string 2/3 A-B-Cs and repeat... it's serious music theory at work and a lot of the bands _didn't have a clue what they were doing._ Yet we get these astonishing pieces of music from when there was No internet. No autotune. No lessons. Just talent and a pure love to play music and see where it goes. Try "stream" that. You can't. We haven't lost music - think we just forgot how it's meant to sound. I heard this song on the radio (its one of my favourite songs of all time) and I thought I wonder if this song can be played acoustically and how/if it would work, I had my strong doubts but I searched and this is the first one that came up so I clicked on it.. ok let's be honest (and as Missy Higgins poetically poses the question with her wonderful lyrics - "is it better to tell and hurt, or lie to save their face) so I'll be honest. Your singing is shite, we know it and you know it and there's no denying it but hey singing is free and everyone has the right to sing regardless of how they sound so kudos for just singing for the love of singing even though its uh.. not very good? is a nice way to put it.. but mate.. that guitar work was senfuckingsational. Absolutely perfect and it gave me the same chills I get when I listen to the real version. Spine tingling good. Flawless. You did more then just pull it off acoustically you absolutely smashed it out of the park and it has inspired me to pick up my old cole clark and learn it for myself so I can smash it out at parties and get togethers, i can't think of a more majestic and magical crowd pleaser to belt out especially if I can learn to play it as good as this, legend mate and never stop singing regardless of how shit you are (c'mon I'm only poking a bit of fun) you're not that bad and singing is the best thing for the soul so ignore me and carry on! I've noticed that he didn't play the chords as wrote, but when a song is covered, there are certain things that need to be done, within reason, to make the cover "their own." With this in mind, the two chords that were changed was his way of taking ownership of his version. Keep up the great work!
