Were ELO even invited to do #LiveAid?
@carolumyi4768 Жыл бұрын
I am fifty-seven years old now, and the first ELO song I heard as a teenager was Sweet Talkin Woman. For a girl who grew up in the 70"s and 80's ELO will always be timeless.
@davidderitis9068 Жыл бұрын
Same age and love for ELO, however I had no idea they did 'Strange Magic' and 'Fire On High' I was blown away I was like 'THAT'S THE SAME BAND?' Having heard 'Out Of The Blue' and 'A New World Record' I was hooked for life! Jeff Lynne is grossly under rated as an artist and these 2 LP's are their best!

I remember in the late 80s my dad got me and my brothers in his big old MK2 Granada and drove us from Dagenham to Tilbury to see his brother, our uncle George. We went in, he had a beautiful Boxer dog and had just recently bought a lovely powerful separates system. He played ELO songs. I fell in love with ELO at that time. I was around 8 years old. Little moments in our lives really shape us more than we realise

What a genius Jeff Lynne. I love this song, too. If you look him upon Wikipedia, he has like 4 pages of things he has done. Not to mention he is so humble and easy going. He has had the same pianist for over 40 yrs, so that has to say something about him. I want to MARRY HIM!! LOL

ELO really is a good go-to group for exacerbating certain feelings with their music. This is good for feeling hopeful, Blue Sky is good for when you already feel good and Don’t Bring Me Down is excellent for when you’re feeling like you want to get somewhere with a purpose OR when you don’t want to be messed with. I’m 36, born ‘84, not a band from my era at all, but certainly one I found on my musical journey that speaks to me.
