Very similar to what's on my Cook's SawMill. Mine does double duty as a loader too, of course your sawmill doesn't need that feature. It works great. Show more of the building process in your projects, folks would like to see that. We're enjoying watching your progress.

Just my two cents....Kuz I break so much stuff....I'd weld a gusset in ea corner of the tubing. Awesome design, thanks for video

Appreciate the design, and the video. I'll be building one almost identical now that I've seen yours operate.

Thanks for the video Dude! I operate my mill by myself sometimes so I'm fixing to put me one like you made on it.

Same thing I did when I had my hm130 except I used square tubing. That’ll set up will sure save your back and shoulders. 👍

Has so far.... This one rides on the carriage of the circle mill.

I'll add that my Cook's sawmill uses a 2500 lb winch and I've turned 16 foot long 24 inch cants with no problem. I rarely use a cant hook anymore.

You don’t need to walk beside your carriage to dog down. Just move the joy stick and bring the log dog to you , then advance your cut set. Hydrolic is the next step for me. Turner, then live log deck, then power rollers, and maybe carriage drive. I’m thinking treadmill belt and drive at the blade, that would get rid of those scraps that are in the way of my next cut.

have you thought about an elastic cord from the roof to leave the remote hooked up and out of the way.

Very good! But the winch should be mounted upside down. As is, the cable will have a 90 degree bend with every pull. That equals more resistance. I used this on my mill. A larger homemade hook would be good. Good try.but the direction of pull is wrong. Thanks

May not be right for you but it works perfect for me. It is also used to pull larger logs onto the mill and would have the wrong angle for that if it was done like you say.
