10 жыл бұрынHomebuilt retract mechanism for 1/10 scale DC3 adapted from tower pro servo and fitted with a linear potentiometer, system uses a heavy duty 100mm wood screw for main drive screw and drive nut is made from phosphur bronze. mechanism is made on small mill, no reason this system could not be fitted to any off the shelf mechanical retract.

I enjoy your solution. I'll use it on future designs. Was there a reason you chose the back strut to be a single rod instead of dual?

the parts are really quite basic the servo is a std heavy duty all metal gear unit this one from Tower pro, around £14 the pot is then removed from the servo and a servo lead is soldered onto the board in place of this pot, you will need a linear potentiomete/ slider type of 5k Ohm value, the mechanism i built is a simple unit built from a bit of ali and tube, the unit is modelled on quite common system which would use push pull servo system to work. I will be doing a blow by blow video.
