@@squirtmph yeah if you have a reliable car. I have a 2008 Mazda 3 and it's got 300k miles... Still running better than most cars 👍... And if you put enough miles you don't owe the IRS lol, they owe you

@@raythebaggchaser so the IRS let's you claim either gas receipts or miles run. I always opt for miles run. So there's a cap where they can only accept a certain amount of miles run depending on your earnings. So depending on how much you make, there's an allowable number of miles ran that can be claimed in order for it to cancel out. You'll easily go over that number. Meaning you'll end up earning back from the IRS. There's more to it but that's the gist of it.

Same, it was a great job during the height of the pandemic, now its just oversaturated, with high gas prices, and with this horrendous new weather kinda ruined it completely.

I'm making more per hour thanks to people quitting! The weather is the same it always is, don't let the media gaslight you.

I really appreciate the kind words! I think I slowly build the ability to work and shoot at the same time. I spent about six months figuring out the job and I started shooting deliveries and now three years later I think I've made 500 delivery vids! thanks for watching and commenting!

@@yogadude1234 I will most certainly tune in again. I spent a little over a month in LA, specifically Hollywood way back in the early 1980's while in college in the San Francisco Bay area. I was on a motorcycle at the time which I rode down from Canada to attend school. A few friends from school & I spent most of one summer between school years renting an old house just off Hollywood Boulevard near the 101 & Griffith Park. Had a great time exploring & heaps of fond memories. No doubt it has changed immensely since then. I still ride but my choice is now combustible engine scooters. Vespa GTS 300, Yamaha Xmax 300 & a couple smaller ones; a Vespa Primavera 150 & a little Vespa 50 exclusively for around town. The two larger ones are for extended highway travel, touring & camping trips. I have been thinking of an electric scooter as a gift for someone. Any suggestions on reliable & affordable options? It does rain up here on Vancouver Island a fair amount so perhaps it might not be the most practical means of transportation. I have seen several around town this summer though. Sorry for going on about all my semi-personal shite. Thanks for your earlier response & any advice you might have to offer with regards to good electric scooters. Cheers.

NYC thinks it's a state out side the rest of the state of New York it can it has power like Washington D.C. is its own state city. Without really being considered a real state. I'm from New York , but live next to The City of New York but also used to live in the tri state D.M.V. area next to Washington D.C. I know this well it's a empire, that will do anything for money it's people pay a lot.

In Britain rising gas prices have been combined with greedy corpos cutting our money...I've seen my money drop to barely above minimum wage and that is the payout before vehicle costs.

I do all of those shots while I'm waiting for orders - it's great because in my opinion the worst part of this job is waiting for orders

It's not that crazy. You look in the mirror, see nobody. Look over the shoulder. See nobody. No reason not to make a last minute lane change. The crazy part is all these sedans with their tiny sideview mirrors. I think every car should have double mirrors. Accidents like these would never happen again.

Yeah no doubt I think everywhere the guys in the cars are going to have to really adapt or quit.

maybe thats why some of these cars seem intent to ram a curb or other car to prevent you from getting by. bitter car couriers. to me, the car in a busy enough market is worse for time than fuel cost. parking, lights, traffic will prob be more of a limiting factor than gas. there are probably some more spread out markets with more single family homes that are still very good for car couriers, probably some congested cities as well.

Yes definitely I never order delivery and I’m in the process of trying to completely illuminating eating at restaurants. I think it’s just necessary in the new economy for a middle-class people.

it's never been stolen and that sounds like a good idea!

It's tough when you have several customers who order from a place with no parking at the merchant, no parking at their apt. Complex, and want you to bring it to them on the 12th floor while carrying drinks. Sometimes with no door code written. To only to have that scenario repeat throughout a shift while managing traffic over 5+miles and maybe difficult map directions. Add in an average tip and a possible 15min wait time. I find myself thinking negatively about it and have to stop, breathe deep, and remind myself it's a service. On the other hand, the job is great when there is parking, tips are good, traffic is manageable, and the merchants order is ready in 5 min.

I try to be nice for those very reasons, that other drivers take out all their frustrations on the building security. 99% of building security is actually really great and helpful. Of all the people to deal with in the food delivery business (restaurant owners, restaurant employees, customers, food delivery support). Building security are the only people who actually understand what we go through and most of the times are helpful and at worst don’t get in our way. In my hundreds of deliveries, I can only count 3 times where I had a negative interaction with building security.
