The headlight that came with your electric scooter is probably just ok for adding some day time visibility. But when it comes to riding at night, even higher end scooters dont provide nearly enough light to truly ride safely.
Make sure you wear the right gear and use some extra lights so that others can clearly see you and you can light up the path ahead!

You can get an airbag vest direct from China for under 100US, in fact in 24hrs, you can get one for under 90. I got myself a motorcycle jacket with the armor pads, it feels safer, but there's at least one KZfaq motorcycle safety expert who advocates ditching the armor and using the airbag, which works in conjunction with the helmet to immobilize the neck during a crash, as well as protect the tailbone, and is reusable. I'm getting one for the summer, I don't want to sweat through my jacket every trip. I like the idea of lots of light, but I don't want to be a spectacle. I'm going to replace the RGB strips on my scooter with white strips. Great video. I'm jealous of your roads there bro. Portland supposedly is one of the most bike friendly cities, but we've got nothing but potholes and broken glass everywhere.

I honestly really recommend a helmet light. With how narrow most bicycle lights are, being able to see well when you turn your head is really important in less lit roads

If you want a lot of good light, more so than what you can get from typical bike lights, look to lights made for cars. You can get a self contained LED bulb that has it's own optics for low beam and high beam and mount it to your scooter yourself. They're really small, about an inch diameter and can be mounted with your typical flashlight/bike mount/holder and have IP rating for weather/water. About the only hurdle is power, but it just needs a 12 volt power source.

I guarantee you those lights are HELLA blinding. Try squatting a little distance away and looking at them. That's usually the problem with cheap high power lights, they don't have proper lensing to prevent them from blinding, *or* to focus the light in the distance right below the cutoff line, so you need 1000000 lumens to see anything. A proper light would cast the great majority of its light on the road instead of the roadside, so because of the lack of light pollution you would see even further.

The Magicshine EVO 1700 is the best handlebar headlight I've ever used. It's throw is very good and I love that it has low and high beam modes. The remote is crap, but the light is so good it makes putting up with the remote worth the trouble. Shredlights makes a good product, but having to charge so many batteries is a hassle.

Is there a way to adjust the wideness of the Nami headlight? The light looks identical to the light on my Teverun Fighter Supreme 7260R but the light is cast in just a small little square.

I wana try the nami burn e-2 max im thinking of buying that next at some point. Out of all the scooters iv tried this klima feels superior and the built quality is phenomenal. The only tweek it needs is thicker disc rotors, folding handlebars like the nanrobot D4+, & turning indicators on the front built on to the scooter. But yea thicker disc rotor cause ever since i replaced it with a thicker one on the rear it has never been making squeeking noises when i pressed on to the brake lever thats what i think. But the stock one at one point too its snapped out of alignment the rotor never seen anything like that its on one of my shorts videos on my channel. I like how whatever paint finish nami used its like durable haven't seen the paint wear or discoloration from sun exposure or rain acidity using the scooter after a while. Some of the nuts and screws did not rust as of yet so hope stays like that. I would like to put rubber deck cover specifically made for the nami klima though like fluidfreeride does not have that on there inventory but would be sweet.

I picked up the Burn E 2 Max with PMTs 6 months ago and no regrets. it's my first pev and the thing pulls like you can't imagine in the highest setting. Can't go wrong with either scooter. I like that Nami worked through some of the issues in the past few years and I was able to get the most recent and improved Nami. I'm only 150 miles new but so far so good. Still tweaking settings to my liking and experimenting. I updated the thumb throttle (personal preference I did not feel good at higher speeds) I got the polish finger throttle and it's much better for me. plug n play too so no issues setting up. Nice secure grip on the handle bar with my thumb now nicely wrapped around the bar like it should be.

@cocoabiscuits and don't forget the best part how it is to change the tires too. I think has that plug and play wire that attaches to the motor Hub so you can easily take off the whole wheel to make it easier to change the tires. Some scooters are a pain on the as like having to do all this hassle to remove so much screws off the deck finding the motor wire in the deck to unplug it. It's a mess but I sure hate that type of method of changing tires. Right now iv been using my nami klima max iv thought of getting the blast but I want something more powerful so the nami burn e-2 max is a better choice cause has a bit more torque way more range and I like the Skeletal swing arms. I find it weird or awkward the front swing on of the nami blast I think looks goofy but I get it I heard has better stability going fast because of the front reversed swing arms. Right now nami burn e-2 max is listed at $3,699 on sale pretty good price I would buy that over the mars XTR I geuss lol. Iv ridden quite a few escooters but nothing feels smoother them a nami suspension maybe the inmotion RS might feel as close to the nami suspension not sure.

My recommendation is to ride on the road and stay out of the bike lane. I have the mantis v2, and I still got into a wreck with an idiot cyclist going in the opposite direction, in the bike lane, as well lit up as I was and claimed he didn't see me coming. Don't ever assume you are well lit enough, EVER. You should always assume no one can see you. Stay off the sidewalk and out of the bike lane and ride on the road. It's safer. Trust me.

LOL what? So you're saying we should drive on the roads where 2 ton metal boxes won't see us coming and we'll just splatter? I'd rather collide with a cyclist because at least then neither of us die. You get hit by a car driven by an idiot on their phone, you probably won't make it out on the other side...

@@rm1825114 My elbow was shattered from the impact with a cyclist that claimed he couldn't see me. I was doing 20mph, he probably was too, same as RK9 Rides here in this video. Just for fun, go look up the lightning package on a stock Kaabo Mantis v2 and tell me you can't see that at night. I've never had a problem with cars on the road. Always had issues with other idiot scooters and bikes riding where they shouldn't. They never follow the rules of the road and it cost me my left arm and a $151,000 medical bill. Fuck off.

Disagree sir, I always use bike lanes. And it’s what they are for. Bikes or any small vehicle that moves past 15MPH. It’s impossible for you not to see a bike coming at you at night even if he’s wearing all black.
@WaffleStaffel
@WaffleStaffel 2 ай бұрын
@@rm1825114 For a scooter that can keep up with traffic, it is most certainly safer to ride in the road. When you're in a bike lane, cars will think nothing of overtaking you, squeezing by you, etc.. If you're capable of holding your own lane when needed, you're in a much safer position. That doesn't mean you ride nowhere _but_ the road, but in general it is definitely safer.
